That was the sort of Rotherham performance in terms of effort and desire you expect under SE, a lot better. Kelly, Tiehi and Powell were excellent together, it is the little things Kelly does that might get missed by some, he always has space, he is always available and play simple safe passes exactly what we have needed. keep those 3 fit and we will have a decent midfield.
Wilks is a good player you can see that, drifts in and out of a game but he has a lot of confidence. JCH and Nombe put a shift in. Still don't like not having a proper right-back we got caught a few times.
Sending off was correct, penalty not, but I suspect it was because the ref knew he caused their goal by keeping Mccart off the pitch, incorrectly.
Humphries is a class act by the way and we passed the ball a lot more.
    Dawson should be in goal

The rule has been changed the referee got it wrong, he should have let McCart back on

For the pen, the defender grabs Wilks' arm and pulls him down. If the ref saw that I can see why he gave it. Certainly wasn't a trip. Maybe he gave it to even up the McCart issue. If the player is being treated as a result of a carded challenge he does not have to go off.

Fine margins.....similar but better to a few games so far, loads of chances, but no goal, and they go and score after some poor work from Tiehi, but we got what I thought was defo a pen.
    I think I counted 12 corners,and 6 or 7 free kicks,and probably 8 or 9 decent chances,they created very little,how on earth have won 3 ?
Front 3 worked well,Wilks will be a great player if he stays fit,but will still have no width, and so I`m afraid we better used to the long ball,`cos we won`t be playing through the midfield very much, but if we take our chances it might just work.
Evans got it right,,,,we got we deserved today.
    Well done lads.

Yes Koroma looks a handful and then err......err.......nah din't see owt else off them that caught the eye, including Wiles.

We thoroughly deserved the win! Can someone get Odoffin a 'How to score from 2 yards out video' jeez how many chances does he want?

Never a penalty but I'll take that all day long, we've had enough given against us when they weren't. Nombe' clear MOTM with his non stop enthusiastic display. Wilks, a breath of fresh air down the wing and that run got us the penalty! His goal was very well taken indeed and it was the per fect tonic we all wanted to see.......smiling happy faces as we left the ground with the sounds of 'Danny Danny Ward' still being sung by our fans

NB. Yak, tried to look for you pal but didn't manage it but, at least Evo come and thanked us today for the support
Yeah I saw Evans was fist pumping the fans again. Amazing it’s almost because we won 🤣🤣

I think it’s only fair that the manager and the players get credit today. The second half especially was very good
I thought down our left hand side we were really strong.
    Well done everyone 👏👏

Yes it certainly was a penalty . Defender pulls his arm and his shirt. Silly boy
Huddersfield are being very selective in what they are whinging about

Full credit to the officials to spotting it

Never mind Haks missing from 2yrds what about them missing from it too? Maybe a bit unfair on Haks as he was prob expecting Nombe to win the ball in front of him....who btw is still worse than Earl Jean.

Yes it's a result but more down to how bad Huddersfield were. We've got to be better at corners if going for them is what we're playing to do.

Danny Ward was the eptimome of stupid, their coach getting red was stupid and whatever their manager said to the ref at the end to get red was stupid.

10,000 in new York, and 3000 season ticket holders not at the game says how disenfranchised we are with the football club....either that or they were all trying to get oasis tickets.

It's a win but not a win that you feel is something to build on
we only won because Huddersfield were crap ? and when we lose it’s because we were crap . As for 3000 season ticket holder’s missing? have you been drinking? or smoking the silly stuff.

Just shows what a bit of positivity can do - NYS was rocking in the final stages and it was all because the players were giving the crowd something to get excited about!

Huddersfield were surprisingly poor. Only Karoma caused us problems. I don't think Phillips made a save?

We played some great football in the second half and even played it out from the back - shock-horror! We have a set of players who are comfortable on the ball and we need to develop some composure and try and build our attacks from a variety of positions. Hoof ball smash and grab doesn't work particularly when your keeper is so poor at directing his clearances.

Finally, I really enjoyed JCH's delight in scoring - it was quite obvious he'd been feeling as frustrated as the rest of us at the lack of goals.

More of the same please. Onwards and upwards!
