Credit where it's due..the ref was very good (for a change) He let the game flow and he wasn't being conned. Powell a culprit here on a couple of occasions

My first live match this season. Sat with son major in the Charlton end. Great view of Both goals, very different angles.

BIG improvement in the quality of football we played. Both teams look like they can move the ball around, other than through the clouds.

Kelly hasn't really registered with me, possibly because when you watch a game on a screen it's obviously a different perspective. I thought he was one of our better players today.

Other posters have highlighted JCH and, to a lesser extent, Nombe. JCH looks too overloaded with muscle to me, and scuttles about the pitch. Nombe is the more athletic, but neither fills me with confidence when it comes to scoring goals.

Having seen much more constructive play through the middle, the crosses were very hit-and-miss. There were a couple of times in the first half when Nombe got into good positions in their box and then just appeared to hit the ball more with hope than expectation.

So, in conclusion, much better generally, but with more improvement needed in the final third.

One of the best ref performances I've seen at this level.

Definitely should have saved it for me. The shot was straighter at him than you think he has push the ball into top corner.

We’re that used to losing away from home that we think it’s a good point against an average side. We should have beaten them but we lack goals and we probably will all season.
It was an average game between two average teams who have done average recruitment.
Both won’t be anywhere near top two come end of the season.
A game that’s easy to forget.

I enjoyed the game. As been said, I doubt we will score enough goals. Oh for a Lee/Robbins combination.
Harsh to fault the keeper for their goal. It was right in the top corner. I'm sticking to my 8 to 10th table finish for now.

Phillips did nothing wrong for me. Defence same. Rest of the side didn't do enough to win the game. Not much in the squad to change anything.

Defence was a total shambles for their goal in my humble opinion

Or two teams canceling each other out. TBH I thought we shaded it

I find the lack of faith in JCH to score a reasonable number during the season a bit odd. Surely he has proved himself capable over recent seasons.
