Got my doubts along with nearly all signings this summer. Rafferty & James apart. Home form will hold up but Saturday at Charlton if that was a benchmark against an average side then away from home won't.

Kelly is a class act, a fit kelly in midfield allows us to play better football, the issues are ahead of the midfield and our awful set pieces, powells delivery % into dangerous areas is no way near the levels Evans talked about.

Yes, agree on both counts. I had been impressed in parts with Kelly from watching him on TV, but in the flesh on Saturday you can see what a high quality player he is. Can only keep em crossed he stays fit as first name on the team sheet for me. Class act.

And yes, expected great quality from Powell following Evans' build up on hitting a gnat from 12 miles (or summat) but very disappointed with his crossing so far.

Henry VIII looked quite busy in forward midfield in his brief cameo. Short stocky but mobile, might cause a few probs when deployed up there.

Not a brilliant game but enjoyed it anyway. I think we're coming together ok and am optimistic we can challenge for play offs if we can get the forwards scoring. But can we??

Kelly see when the autumn/winter kicks in. Powell unlike Pringle doesn't have it in his locker re. crossing ability. I'm not sold on rest of the signings apart from like I said Rafferty & James. Dawson looks ok.

You seem to forget Ben Pringle was getting booted out the club until SE got hold of him . Also stop posting nonsense about Kelly . Anyone with any sort of football knowledge knows he’s a quality player at this level . No offence but tha gerrin boring . 🥱

Derbs, I have the utmost respect for the vast majority of your posts but boy have you got this one wrong. Have you banged your head or has the medication failed to trip in yet?

It was the finest peice of work Evo and the board achieved this season, offloading that donkey waste of space. I'll go as far to say he's in my top 3 of most awful players ever to wear a Millers shirt....good riddance.

Since moving to Oxford he's had the opportunity to feature in no less than 7 games.
4 Championship
2 Cup games
1 pre season friendly, which when he left us he was supposedly fit.

Now how many games do you think he's featured in so far for Oxford? I'll tell you......a big fat zero! What's worse he hasn't been named on the bench for a single one of those games and you say we should have kept him.....

I think expecting Oxford to select him is a bit unfair given that he's at Northampton. Any excuse to kick a player.
