But the difference Matt - I don’t have to lead by example ( other than my kids ) as he should!

Turn the argument around - should all buyers of top corporations accept hospitality, hampers and gifts . Believe me they are offered them but many don’t want to be sacked or even more so - have morals! You accept a freebie and the other person wants something in return!

Is that Ali giving all these donations for the love of it or he wants to give Starmer a kiss? Every gift is for a reason so indirectly it’s a back hander!

Why would the public have any respect for the p rick when on his 400K declared income he can easily afford it? Greedy w anker have said a few and you can’t blame them.

If you haven’t already seen it then watch the clips of SKY’s Beth Rigby performing a public new a r s e hole ripping of Starmer in interview yesterday.

She’s an excellent journalist, the way she smilies and quietly sticks the knife in is a joy to behold.

Much as I enjoy Andrew Neil tearing apart politicians of every flavour and leaving them gutted and filleted in full view I must admit I enjoy Rigby’s subtle and more gentle way of allowing the likes of Starmer to make total fools of themselves.

In regards to the £20k of free quiet space for Starmer junior I have a couple of simple observations.

1/ Quiet space can be found for a fraction of this value, Starmer could’ve rented him a lodge in a nice spot for a month for a tenth of the price.

2/ Starmer put his children into this position by running to by Labour leader and to eventually to become PM, nobody had a gun to his head, these types of issues are visible from many years away if you have a scrap of common sense.

The car crash interview with Rigby showed him up to be a fool who’s full of his own self importance and full of hubris.

I didn’t think it would be possible for me to dislike anyone more than Matt Wancock but Starmer has quickly managed this.

I saw a podcast this week by Ricky Gervais that showed multiple clips of Starmer saying one thing and then later saying exactly the opposite, the man is a fraud in my opinion.

In his interview with Rigby there was not an ounce of contrition about all of the multiple freebies he’s accepted, he was sneering in his contempt at her questioning.

I thought Boris was the king of shooting yourself in the foot but this bloke is having a good stab at surpassing him.

I really don’t get the issue with this particular instance, would be a very noisy chaotic house running up to an election, a mate said why not use my flat it’s empty. And fair play to Starmer he had at least declared it as a gift, which I actually don’t think he needed to.

If trying to study in a noisy/distractive environment I heartily recommend the use of noise cancelling headphones while playing chillout music on low. They come in considerably cheaper and you can work without distraction pretty much anywhere.

Are most houses not noisy Dave? Many kids don’t even have the luxury of their own room and share with siblings! Houses on busy dual carriage ways or motorways or a toddler/baby in the house screaming.

Not declaring a gift? I worked for one of the largest blue chip companies in the U.K. as a senior purchaser and if you accepted anything other than a Christmas card you were sacked, likewise you did not have to enter anything on the declaration sheet as the rules were apart from a card you should not accept it in the first place.

Do you think Ali gives all these freebies because he likes Starmers glasses or his wife’s backside? If anybody gives you anything in that role or a purchasing role it’s for a reason or inducement for future favours. Simple as!

The public abide by the rules so should this greedy w anker!

I think there are two issues here regarding Starmer (and I may be correcting what I said previously on this thread).

    1. He didn’t get £20k but put the value down to be transparent.

    2. He’s still not to be trusted.

I think all this furore is doing one thing which has happened over and over again.. it’s created divisiveness and made people disillusioned with politics. I’ve always thought there is some kind of hidden agenda, no matter which party is in charge. This would happen even if Reform were in charge.
Just when you think a new party would come in to make changes and satisfy the masses -no. Tell me when, over the years a party coming in (and had at least a year) made you feel they’ve made some significant all round improvements to everyone’s lives? None of them. We all fall for it thinking this that party is going to sort it out.. we’re always suckered into it while we argue amongst each other. We’re so easily controlled - these politicians really are laughing at us. Starmer for example at the interview, jeez he looks like he’s dressed up to go on strictly. Previously we had bojo and wan clock. Is it deliberately done to put clowns in charge? Who really is pulling the strings in the UK? It’s no wonder people are leaving the UK because we’re turning into a duel 1st and 3rd world country but with a greater divide between rich and poor. How do we protest against this? Well laws are probably in place to stop us doing that. Yep they are laughing at us.

There was a great comment on this interview , even with his £3k donated glasses he still can't see it .

I’ve got a mate who’s a top of the range “tin foil hat” brigade member Regis, I used to take the p I s s out of him on his views, views which very much mirror yours.

    I no longer scoff.

Asking purely out of curiosity but what are your mate's thoughts on aviation vapour trails and the government's desire to control the weather in the UK?

And when he sees lizards on nature programmes on TV does he hide behind the settee or shoot at them with the death ray that's hidden in his finger tips?

Only ask as one of my lad's best mates has been utterly convinced for years now that our weather is being controlled by 'them'. I have no idea who 'them' are or whether he has a death ray at his finger tips 😁 .
