I really like and appreciate Tiehi!

He doesn’t stop running from one player to the next making an option for a short pass.
On the back of making himself visible to our players he’s also occupying midfielders of the opposition.
He linked up well with Odoffin and because of that it was the most noticeable effectiveness of Odoffin.

There are different styles of midfielder and they do different jobs, his role is to break up play and then play those 5 yard passes, he does the role he is playing very well, in my opinion. When he hasn't played we have missed him. Also how much the club pays for a player isn't the fault of the player, he has no say in that. Football is about opinions and clearly this lad splits them.

He's successful with only half as many tackles as Haks. His pass completion is marginally better, but Haks is a far better all round player. I just think if we're having a defensive midfielder he needs to be the one dominating the space ahead of the back line and then playing the simple ball - Christ is unable to perform this role alone, and with little else to his game it means we're having to commit two players to do a lot of the grunt work, which adds up when you look at how we then appear to have a little less spark in front. A better CDM would allow us to attack more freely, I just don't think we get that from Christ. Always busy, and no issue with his commitment, but he can't handle the job alone.

Fully agree the players shouldn't carry the weight of their fee (or their wages) if they're playing and willing to work, and the same goes for giving cheaper players an easier ride. Once they're on the pitch they're equally responsible for how we do, whether they were a million quid or a Chinese takeaway.
