Really impressive player. Even when he's supposedly not having a good game he can make a goal out of nothing. We can but hope he will join JJ on contract.

As for his faith, I've got no problem with that at all. I think we are lucky in this country in that both secular and religious people are fairly easy going. The problem for me would be like in the USA, where increasingly religious fundamentalists are aggressively trying to take political power, with an agenda including such things as an absolute ban on abortion and the teaching in schools of creationism as science.

I don't think many have, what they seem to object to is the Jehovah's witness style, spreading of the word through his tv interviews. It doesn't really bother me but I can see why some might not like it.

I don't know much about being a committed JW or what it entails to live life as a JW follower.
All I can say is that all those that I have met, seem very nice , friendly and logical people.
There must be some merit in belonging to that organisation, as they are building more KH places of worship because of increasing numbers of followers.
Older members will remember Peter Knowles giving up his career to devote his life to being a devout JW.
Phil Starbuck is also a Pastor of a church in Derbyshire , throughout his football career , he was very open and forthright about his faith.

Why is Crowleys faith even being discussed on here ! - its his business no-one else's.

He’s mentioned his faith twice in an about a year. I’m not sure that’s evangelism on a large scale.

Maybe because the interview that started this thread was him talking about his faith?

    All power to him.
I think the people who like to have a go at him for it are jealous because their own lives are empty in some way.

and the headline of the video interview was:

Notts County's Dan Crowley: How faith helped me find perspective

But maybe if someone's woken up pie eyed and legless such things go unnoticed

Interesting timing that this has come up within a week or so of another one of our players having the polar opposite experience in going though a mental health crisis.

Becoming too involved with yourself and not being able to perceive the bigger picture is the fundamental issue, I think, and no coincidence that a mental health crisis is accelerating out of control in the west with the rapid decline in Christian faith, and numerous dark forces seeking to exploit and fill that void.
I've long felt that the worst thing to happen to this country was Christianity in the 4th century and the 2nd worst thing is getting rid of it.
