To keep the fans' interest going something needs to change.Nobody's expecting TS to spend any of his own money but without any investment this club will just stagnate. The reason we cannot attract a young progressive manager to come is the well publicised lack of ambition at the club.As mentioned earlier there has been interest from more than one party and there is a lot of potential for a buyer.

While I agree we need a fresh change in direction the reality is...

In 40yrs the footprint of the club hasn't changed. If anything we've seen where our natural ceiling is.

I spent years dreaming seeing us in Div2, the Championship whatever. Now I wish I hadn't other than Ronnie's 2nd season there when we tonked Millwall away on the opening day. All the other seasons I've witnessed have not been good experiences.

We need to do more to make us more attractive to kids in the face of very stern competition. Globalisation and TV money mean the glory grabbers at infants school aren't just wearing Sheff Wed or Liverpool shirts anymore. I don't ever recalling we could say we're 'bigger than Barnsley'. Donny now with city status, Rotherham will be the little annoying flea in the area, we just have to start making moves to increase our footprint.

Constant austerity will just keep chipping away and eventually ruin us

TS would sell RUFC this afternoon. But he will not sell RU Estates Ltd.

At virtually every fans forum I submit a question asking why RUFC and RU Estates were separated and, if the reason was for keeping the NYS debt off RUFCs accounts, would that situation change once the liability becomes a significant asset?

    The question is never selected.
Its a very common structure known as "OPCO/PROPCO" and makes sense for both TS and the club, if anything happens to the club the major asset doesn't form part of any debts.

The ownership of the ground is a bit of a red herring too. It's worth very little - if anything- without a football club to play at it. In that sense, it would be foolish of its owner to do anything that undermined the viability of the club.
TBH I think rufc, if sold would be above average (price wise) of clubs of similar size.
If you compare our crowds % wise - Capacity, over the last 12 seasons we have got to be at the top end of attendance...
If TS packaged the ground and club in a sale with the ability to extend the ground for very little money it would be attractive to buyers.

It's a business that loses money, cayton. The wealthy aren't going to be queuing up to buy it. Why would they?

Football clubs have become playthings for the rich. Think Wigan when Dave Whelan was bankrolling them, Rushden and Diamonds (remember them) when the Griggs family were willing to fund them and think Wrexham now.

It's worth noting our adult season ticket prices were the highest in this division.Huddersfield and Bolton fans paid £249,Brum fans paid £315.When you compare crowd figures it's worth taking into consideration our much more we were asked to pay.

That imo makes us even more attractive due to attendance/ticket price. If we can get us fools paying that price for this standard of football. Imagine if we had a good side

Unless things vastly improve in the table, no decent players will come here either in January....providing there are some funds available

People do talk but I guarantee money talks much louder. Any manager or player would come to RUFC if the price was right.
