It is an effective long-term strategy for any club — get them young, and they'll keep coming back for the rest of their life.
We all remember, every fan of every club remembers, the game that got them hooked on football. It happened to me in 1968.
And we all pestered, pleaded, demanded to be taken to games until old enough to go on our own.
If United are giving 200 for every game, raise it to 1,000. Raise it as high as possible, depending on amount of tickets sold. For games like Ross County at home, fill the JK with kids attending free. Give them flags to wave, give them scarves . . . give them each a drum!
I like the sentiment and agree Steve…..

Well apart from your last 5 words. Drums are a scourge on football and if they turn up at tannadice regularly then I won’t!

Eh remember going to gemmes and getting a sneaky in or lifty ower.. Even remember going to Dens to watch them play AC Milan and getting a sneaky in. Dundee then put turnstiles from the roof to the ground stopping this in the early 70s. United didna. Met loads of boys who did this. They are still going to Tannadice. They’re bairns, grandbairns as well. Getting the young ains going up is the way to keep building your support.

    Still deluding themselves

One of them brought up the derby in April 2022 as the reason they think we give wrong crowds, ironically that was one time we gave a very inaccurate crowd where it was given as as 10500ish, this was under the previous regime, was clearly 12500-13000 there with 10k arabs, same as the derby early the same season (the 1-0 harkes game) where they gave it as 12.5k ish

So yes that was inaccurate in that it underplayed the attendance, didn't help their argument

They also don't touch on respective away numbers, there are vastly different in our favour too, I suppose that's other teams conspiring to inflate our numbers etc

Same Muppet is still going on about the April 2022 derby, even the attendance was clearly 12500+ but as one of their reality based fans said, do Utd cut and paste fans into seats on TV etc and what about the much bigger away crowds?

Another very good crowd yesterday anyway

    8,868 with 750 from Paisley

7 home games in and current average is 10,427

    Rest of the teams currently
    Killie 6,983
    St Mirren 6,779
    Funsters 6,323
    M'Well 5,679
    Saintees 5,542
    County 4,181
