Dale owns Forest Green Rovers FC who were relegated to the National League at the end of last season.
I recently watched an episode of Escape to the Country during which the CEO of Forest Green FC was interviewed about the club’s Green credentials.
The CEO said that they had solar panels on the roof of their stand to generate their own electricity and they also had wind turbines to generate electricity for their floodlights.
This is another myth. The electricity produced by wind turbines and solar panels are sold to the National Grid and bought back by companies like Forest Green FC.
In my opinion home owners and companies like Forest Green FC who have solar panels and wind turbines should be totally self sufficient storing their own produced electricity and be off grid.
Interestingly there has been no mention during the past fortnight from the Renewable Industry mob about the lack of electricity being produced from solar panels and wind turbines throughout the U.K. thanks to a large area of high pressure stationary over the U.K. resulting in mostly cloudy weather with calm conditions.

Agree. We are being led to a future that has no economic basis. Generation of electricity is about half of our energy requirements, the other half is based on gas both for electricity and the vast majority of central heating. I believe we are not being told the truth. Just like some never believed in the covid response.
There are thousands of jobs based on the myth of a green economy. We need to find a way to debunk the green lobbying. There will be weather statistics that will demonstrate the economic impossibility of functioning in GB with wind and solar energy sources.

India and china continue on their merry way, America away to drill baby drill.

Meanwhile we are gonna ban combi boilers, petrol and diesel cars and stop people selling property if their house ain't green enough....and we are responsible for a negligible amount of pollution.

On a slightly separate point I was watching a wee documentary from the Philippines....these people literally living on floating plastic and rubbish.

Cple of things 1. Who was the first person no to put it in the bin.

    2. How do they manage to look so clean living like that.

I am surprised that the percentage of renewable power generated during last week was as high as 10%.
This proves that last week there would have been massive power cuts throughout the U.K. if we had been solely dependent on getting our electricity from renewable sources.
The Scottish Government ministers want new houses to only have electric central heating but they have never explained where all the extra electricity is going to be sourced especially as they will not permit new nuclear power stations to be constructed in Scotland.

Scottish Government ministers never tell us the truth only what they want us to hear.
The next big scandal will be Raac concrete which has been used in the construction of hundreds of council houses in Dundee including in Menzeshill where Councillor John Alexander lived.
It is possible that Councillor Alexander resigned as leader of Dundee City Council and as a Dundee City Councillor because he knew that this problem with Raac in Dundee council houses was about to become headline news.
