Having said all that…pleased to still be in the playoffs.

Agree Prando! For me the the huge hole is the loss of Okay who was class!

Bizarre subs again and too many changes!

I don’t think that we can blame Carlos for tonight’s result. He selected the side that the majority of us would have selected. It’s the players who have to shoulder the responsibility as very few of them, especially in midfield and up front, are playing to their full potential.

Their goal should have been allowed so we got away with one tonight.

Smacks of a panicking manager who’s run out of ideas and who’s times nearly up, we should revert back to being called West Bromwich Albion Strollers, Styles apart nobody takes responsibility of having a shot from distance, cowardly and buck passing comes to mind

Not sure what game you were watching but Fellows wasn't great tonight easily pushed off the ball and struggling for confidence Dobbin was a bigger threat when he came on.

With regards the subs ,I think it's down to managine the squad there's another away game on Sunday .
Maja missed most of last season with 2 bad injuries ,I'm sure that's why he gets subbed late on and tonight I feered for him when he had ankle racked from behind .
A point against Burnley is still a good point and another clean sheet.

Lucky for us that Burnley had their goal disallowed and didn't take all 3 points but despite our continuing failings to create more decent chances or put the ball in the net, at least we showed far more intent. Against a Burnley side with more quality than some we have failed to beat, I thought this was a far better performance than we have had to endure over recent games. We have also moved up to a play off position again so not all bad.

As for the players, although I think Fellows has been "found out" and is certainly having less impact than he once was, I would still not have taken him off. Johnston too has failed to live up to his earlier promise but would still like to see both him and Fellows on together to see if we can replicate our previous successes doing so. That said, Grant of course continues to impress with his work rate and intent.

In midfield I thought Molumby brought some intent but Mowatt not his normal self so not too surprised that Raicic replaced him. Given our injury list I thought our back 4 continue to do OK and Dobbin showed glimpses tonight of what he may offer when he came on. Think we may see more of him. As for Diangana, just why?

Burnley are in a similar position to us in that defensively they are pretty sound but they have struggled going forward. On this showing they are clearly ahead of us in terms of creating chances if not finishing them. As one of the Sky pundits pointed out, given the quality of the forward players we do have we are not producing the attacking threat we should be both in terms of creating chances and converting them.

The longer this inability to put the ball in the net continues, the harder it becomes as confidence dips and players tense up which leads to shaky performances like that against Luton. Doesn't matter how that goal comes, it doesn't need to be pretty and I somehow doubt that it will open any floodgates, but we urgently need it to bring back some confidence and get us back on track.

I don’t think Fellows brought that much to the game to be honest, Grant worked his socks off but wasn’t very successful yesterday, and I don’t think Molumby was an improvement to Račič (I have quite liked Račič of late). Swift does not look good at all atm.

Dobbin looked quite ok when he came on, and had Diangana scored…

I don’t think it was too pedestrian and ”tippy-tappy” either btw.

Players not good enough, drop of form, injuries etc - many things can contribute to our current situation, and we don’t have the full picture.

    Fair assessment Swedish buddy.
At least Fellows returned his natural ability of taking their defenders on and endeavouring to get a cross in. Far better than his more recent style of turning to pass back.
However, as said on another post we are still in the top six, which in fairness is our realistic target.
