A penalty should only be awarded for deliberately handling the ball.I know if that had been against us I would have been gutted BT..

Anyway, well done to JRod for putting it away..A much needed 3pts
As somebody said, swings and roundabouts, makes up for WBA.

Raising your hand during a goalmouth melee is never a good idea Alfie. We were right above it in the Jimmy Mc Upper, it was a penalty. UTC#

It's glaring obvious we are missing a striker, but no excuses for the Fleming misses
    Be honest ballcock

Fleming has had no pre season through injury and has came back and then got injured again - he’s overweight imo but has put a shift in out of position running channels that he isn’t quick enough to do at peak fitness - hard to criticise the lad when he’s had that to deal with- he needs a front man desperately to feed off and create spaces for him.

There is a lot of un rest and criticism aimed at Parker at the minute and whilst I agree he is over cautious in approach 10 weeks ago he had a complete squad stripped from him and a start again button pressed , on top of that I’m told at a meeting last week fans committee were told Trafford will leave or be sold and possibly loaned back to us

As is and you point out accurately we need a striker ( not mcburnie ffs ) and I still think Parker is searching for a starting line up that covers all bases ( for me we have quite a lot of the same sort of player )

Personally I’d like us to break the mould that Guardiola has created ,making lesser clubs think they can play like City when in reality is we can’t.

Parker should go back to mixing things up a bit you only have to go back to the Luton game to see how effective we were playing long - short anything that wins games - at the moment all our play in the main is in front of the opposing teams defensive line wether that be a 4 and 4 or a 6 and 3+1.

I thought last night at least Swansea were refreshing in that they didn’t come to block the hole up and we should have won comfortably without the penalty.

Lastly I think the players are feeling a bit of pressure and that’s why they overrun the ball and lose possession and the crowd are on their backs a bit.

We are not far off being a decent side but a focal point striker who can score is required to release the pressure from the team - goals win games we know that and it’s amazing how much more settled a team becomes when they have a goalscorer who takes chances. ( I still think Foster has a part to play for us we’re a more fluid better team with him in it than without him ).

I agree with the essence of what you are saying mate but he needs to go 3-4-2-1.
Trafford, Esteve, Egan-Riley, Humphreys, Sarmiento, Cullen, Laurent, Anthony, Brownhill, Flemming & Rodriguez.

We don't need a back four because most teams in this league are bobbins.

    Attack - attack - attack - attack.

Burnley had 21 crosses into the box during the game, yet rarely anything meaningful on the end.

I'm OK with that as an approach but we've got to get people on the end of it!

Jay Rod would be netting a goal a game off that sort of service.

Maybe the idea for the next transfer window is to sell Trafford and buy a striker.

I honestly don’t think Jaynis the answer BT we need a big strong quick boy who occupies centre backs too many teams are having an easy ride at the turf at the minute - we do put ball in the box and across it but we don’t get on the ends of enough.

A quick mobile forward would also afford the wide men a bit more freedom instead of being Twod and threes yes

Up in't North East they reckon the deal is already done and Trafford has agreed terms with Newcastle.
