Thread: Any news on Crowley?

  1. #21
I have just received a message from the club re Half Season tickets, which refers to the return of players such as JJ, Edwards and Grant but NOT Crowley. I think we have seen his last appearance in a Notts shirt

Have heard that Stags still sniffing and Notts not really pushing back on it. Didn't sound optimistic when I was told that

He should be playing in a higher division; if he doesn't want to play for us then it's best to get the best deal we can. Perhaps there is a reason why he is "much travelled" ?

If he's refusing to play, he should be shamed, publicy.

Is there any factual basis for the rumours or just a hunch among the fans? I hope his groin tear is real and healing well but, if it's not real, best just let him go! To be honest though, it would be hard to feign a tear on a scan!

I was plagued by groin strains when I played Swale and believe me, you don't need a scan to know you've got one! It is a tricky one though, probably worse even than a hamstring, you think it's better, you push it a bit too far and it's back to square one.

Yes same here. So if it showed on the scan I don't believe he's faking anything tbh.

More than likely nursing an injury which is a shame as with Palmer and Abbott forming a decent midfield we could really do with Dan?s creativity further forward. If there has been any fallout and he doesn?t want to be here then I?d rather we do what we did with Ruben and let him go on a free in the summer (served his contract so doesn?t owe us anything) than cash in on what would be a small fee for a player with 6months on his contract.

Not sure about that. If he doesn’t want to sign a new contract this summer, I’d be tempted to cash in on him in January. Losing assets like Ruben and Wootton for nothing to teams from higher leagues was just bad business.

    Exactly.
