You rotate Jatta, Didzy and a third striker. We'll have a lot of Sat, Tues, Sat. The current two can't play every game. Jarvis might be part of the rotation.

If he returns to Notts, it will more likely be in a few years, when we're in L1 (all being well!).
It's pretty damning to his career now being signed as a prolific striker but only having one goal when they're already past halfway in the season. Not saying he will be back at Notts but he needs a move now. He's late 20s and should be hitting his peak.

Absolutely right. Goalscoring seems to be a problem at Milwall. No-one there is putting them away. They have the lowest number of goals in the Championship this season at 24. It would suggest their style of play needs changing.

Their xG suggests they just don’t create much:

    xG
    Overall 1.25
    Home 1.34
    Away 1.15

    Scored
    Overall 0.92
    Home 1
    Away 0.83

    In contrast, here’s ours:

    xG
    Overall 1.49
    Home 1.73
    Away 1.30

    Scored
    Overall 1.64
    Home 1.45
    Away 1.79

The possibility of him coming back was mentioned on Magpie Circle last night with Paul Mace commenting that the percentage of his wages that Notts would have to pay, is a sticking point and that several other clubs are interested.

I?m generally an advocate of not going back to old clubs, but normally, it sees a player return at the end of their career or a manager after a few seasons.

If there is a remote possibility of getting Macca back, we should be going all in. We need another striker.

If he returns, its also a no brainier to drop McGoldrick into the 10 and play Macca and Jatta together.

I do wonder if the money side of it will rule us out of the running, but if it were purely up to Macca, we would probably be front of the running.

Yeah, I'm sure Macca would love a return to Notts. I don't suppose he'll ever enjoy the success or love that he enjoyed with us.

Anyone know how long his contract at Millwall is?

I?m not so sure we?d be his first choice.
He?s a very focused individual who has a lot to prove and clearly wants to play higher up the leagues.
Moving to league 2 proves nothing more than what had already been proven.
If he goes to an upper league 1 club and scores goals, that opens up his options for his next club.
I?m not suggesting he won?t have fond memories of Notts, but this is his career.
That said, I thought we had no chance of Derbys player of the season dropping to league 2?but he did!

From Millwall's website at the time:

"The 27-year-old striker joins The Lions for an undisclosed fee from Notts County on a long-term contract and becomes Neil Harris' first signing of the summer transfer window."

Length of contract is not mentioned anywhere.

Who in our current set up would make way for him if he did return?
