It took a defender to run at the opposition and get a shot off, something the midfield and attackers should be doing as a matter of course. Having got the lead we then fail to do the basics of defending and there we have yet another defeat.
Like Bartley before, Murphy is now being found to be out of his depth regarding formations, tactics and substitutions etc etc. With this bunch of underachievers there is only one direction we are heading and it is not upwards.
I admit that I am a glass half full supporter who tends to watch through rose tinted glasses but the table does not lie and we are not better off than last season currently. We started off fine playing decent attacking football at home at least, topping the league and equalling the run of home victories but since that peak we do not create enough chances and the few we do we seldom convert. Murphy is fully aware of this and has the remainder of December to rectify the situation or we become detached fully from the promotion slots. Over to you Mr Murphy!

I accept that the table doesn't lie, but once again there wasn't a lot in it today. A terrible defensive lapse allowed the equaliser, - although inevitably the wind played it's part, - and from then on Arbroath ' s tails were up.
The Stenhousemuir match is a huge one on Saturday, because if we lose that, they will be 12 points ahead of us.....and that would be scary.
Incredibly, I reckon Inverness will be contenders for the First Division crown and definites for a top 4 place.
We still have the January window, - and a home tie in the Scottish Cup so my glass is still half full.....but positive changes will be required most definitely.

I'm sorry to say I'm in the glass half empty category. Crowds will continue to dwindle as at ?18 the product is just no where near good enough. We leak goals when at least at the start of the season this aspect seemed to have been tightened. We create next to nothing so it doesn't matter who we play up front as scoring goals appears to be a major headache. The manager seems to be at a loss as to what to do to rectify things. We are losing games to teams who are no better than us but they appear to have more mental strength and desire.

Its clear to everyone that we need a striker in the January window, - but so does everyone.................the problem is getting in the right player who can convert chances at the right price.

That's the conundrum that faces every club.

We have got ourselves into a really poor position since the Kelty game. Peter's club interview focuses on Benji losing his man. This kind of focus on one passage of play was the thing that ripped my knitting from the previous manager totally forgetting the rest of the game. We look like the away team wherever we play at the moment. The field position of the team is far too deep. We have five decent defenders but I think he needs to pick four. The midfield need to push up and start creating chances. Hewitt and McIntyre are the only width we have but both could still provide playing in a four. The forward players need to stand up and keep possession and start shooting.
I thought Peter Murphy was pragmatic and a realist but he is repeating the same set up.
Goals win games and keep the punters happy. We need a reaction against Stenny.
