Thread: Var

Having watched the incident again now it was always going to be given, almost the same as Holt last week. The annoying thing is it was an unnecessary challenge made by a player with very few minutes on the park this season.

"Dundee United have held talks with referees chief Willie Collum over fears that the SFA's weekly Key Match Incident (KMI) panel could be negatively impacting officials, Courier Sport has learned.

Senior Tannadice figures remain incredulous that Danny Armstrongs high, studs-up follow-through on Vicko Sevelj who reported to training this week with a visible cut to his leg
was not referred to the VAR monitor.

The wider concern, expressed to Collum on Monday, is whether the results of the prior KMI panel which declared TWO decisions from United's victory over St Mirren to be erroneous placed undue pressure on VAR Alan Muir."

Not fit for purpose in Scottish football, bin it!
SFA= West coast centric, anti-DUFC, incompetent, corrupt shower of d1cks you can possibly imagine.
Shouldn't be anywhere near running our game, never mind VAR.
Sorry for the rant folks but they really take the piss!

Hate VAR with a vengeance but they done us a favour yesterday by not giving Well a clear penalty for the Stephenson foul at 4-2 down.

Thought they might have asked the ref to look at a pretty obvious handball that did influence one of their goals. The ball would have carried on instead of dying in a dangerous area to an attacking player.

It wasn’t a Hand ball though , the rule is if it hits a player above the sleeve line then it’s not a hand ball , and have a look at your profile picture and it definitely hit him above the sleeve line ,if they show it on ref watch on Monday morning then Dermot Gallagher will explain the rule again

Fair point, my mistake. I'm just used to saying "hand ball".

Still think it hit his arm below the sleeve line, but it's hard to tell these days with the coloured under-armour on. Considering it ended up a goal, might have been worth another look.

You'll never believe this guys. The Sportscene pundits didn't think the tackle on Moult was a pen. It's the same every week with them 😄
If we concede one, it's definitely a pen, if we get one, never a pen.

It?s great that VAR has made the controversial decisions much clearer and removed the bias.

It makes not being able to properly celebrate a goal all worth it.
