Perhaps it might now be the time to point the finger of blame towards those guilty of causing our problems instead of constantly blaming the HC "s , it is clear that Collins was dealt a bum hand and ridiculously sacked with one game to go and again Clarke who although having a slightly better squad than Collins he has been left short in the forward dept , look no further than the owners . It is absolutely pointless getting rid of Clarke because whoever follows him will eventually face the same problems, some of us on here have been banging this drum for a long time whilst others choose to continually blame the HC , reading the comments on this thread makes me think the penny might eventually be dropping but there are non as deaf as those who do not want to hear !!

Did we miss Cole and/or McAtee (just asking for a friend).

Of course the team is a mirror of the HC.
    That?s always the case.
And that?s why it?s plain to see he?s not good enough.

If Hourihane starts then that?s a signal that we are well and truly f*****.
What?s this obsession with Hourihane ???
    He?s done playing FGS.

Where do we find the extra momentum ???
    Well I?m glad you asked.

    Firstly we replace DC.
I like the fella - but he?s not good enough.
In saying that - he might be good enough if he had a fully rounded squad.
    Which he hasn?t.

In the transfer window we replace Cole and McAtee with players that have similar attributes ie proper strikers.
Because currently we haven?t anyone at the club to fill the striker role.
    Loans will do for now.

The foundations for an excellent 1st Division team are clearly there.
We are just missing one ***** part of the jigsaw.
It?s incredibly frustrating at the moment.
The saying - spoiled the barrel for a penny worth of tar - very much applies at the moment.
It's not an obsession with Hourihane on my part I'm simply pointing out how the ownership think .

At the end of last season with ST's to sell and a general feeling of apathy they brought back Roberts and Hourihane to play with fans emotions of better days in the past so as to shift ST's and to be fair it probably worked with many who were thinking of not renewing their ST .

I haven't a clue whether Hourihane would be a success or not but what I do know is how the owners see things .

In fact nobody knows who will be a success or not no matter what background they have , you'd have thought Paul Hart would have been a success but clearly wasn't and you'd have questioned the wisdom of appointing Andy Ritchie who was a success with more or less the same squad .

I'll say it one more time , the standard to get out of this league was Daniel Stendel's team and we are way off , now you can dress the current squad up all you want to suit your opinion but there isn't one single player at this club who'd start in Daniel Stendel's team , not one .

I'd also like to add that whilst Brums performance yesterday wasn't anything special from a footballing perspective they none the less showed in my opinion the attributes needed to get out of this league .

Their performance yesterday is a lesson in how you get it done , horrible conditions , away from home , a goal down but still stuck at it and got their reward .

From their overall performance and the state of the game at 1-0 down I know we wouldn't have won that at what they'd consider to be one of their tougher away games .

There lies the difference , it's not all about dominating games all the time that makes you successful , it's about coming through when it's tough and hard and they did that .

As in when Stendels team beat Walsall away in the promotion run in. We were completely outplayed that day and should have lost but we found a way to win the game in injury time when we deserved feck all
