My Dens Park Mole tells me the Fun haven't sold their tickets yet 🙈
That's pretty poor, they only had 3.5k or so to sell when you account for season ticket holder seats already taken in the home ends
We'd have sold 6-7k given the chance by now given 4100 were gone in under 2hrs
Managed to get on to their ‘secure’ home fan only section and have a wee peak by simply copy and pasting a random contact email address from Funster FC’s website - absolute tinpot stuff.
Yep as Stoke confirms, looks like maybe approx 200 tickets left and also confirms that we had been given three sections of TheAuldHunStand no less. Which of course are completely sold out.![]()
What are people's thoughts on going in the home end. For context I don't think i have missed a united game in dundee since I was a boy albeit I have been out the country for more than 10 years. Full subscriber to dutv and still manage 3 or 4 games a year so I pay the equivalent of a season ticket into the club. Going to st Johnstone, aberdeen and hearts while back in scotland. Feel really guilty not being there at the derby though and even considering buying a dundee Ross county ticket so I could get one of their remaining home tickets. Absolutely don't want to pump 60+ quid into their coffers and don't think i could handle being amongst them but... needs must?
You are indeed correct that there are a small number of tickets left, some single seats and some released by commercial dept. but there are, mad as it seems, many in the Dundee support that can't buy tickets because of the cut off point earlier this month to be registered on the system to be able to buy. This, theoretically, would also stop United fans buying tickets for the home end. The ticketing system is run by the same company for both clubs allowing the United support to buy electronic tickets for the game through their own side of the system.
The ticket allocation in the main stand c.1100 seats is what is normally made to the United support and is the same as the allocation to the Old Firm and has been as such for many many years.
I do reckon it will be a sell out and hopefully a better advert for Scottish Football than all the carry on around the Old Firm final and no doubt New Year game. Unfortunately it wouldn't be at all difficult to be better, the Old Firm setting such a low bar.
