Maybe, but I reckon Williamson is getting in people that he knows, though whether they’ll gel with the others and come good is anyone’s guess. As is just what exactly our Sporting Director is doing because everything seems to be happening from the bottom up.

    Young Sean Fusire. A Midfielder.

    That’s a midfielder. Another midfielder.

New defender in, Paul Dummett, ex-Newcastle from Wigan. 33 and not fit and only until the end of the season. Maybe he’ll be another Huntington but he’ll no doubt be looking for another contract so I hope he comes good:

Mellish’s gone to Wigan, undisclosed fee. I’m personally not bothered, but I know a lot will be and he;’s given his all for CUFC. Good luck Jon.

Perhaps if we were further up the table he might of stayed,we will never know.In a struggling team its time to get out having gone through 18 months of nothing and perhaps whatever we tried it was going nowhere.Wigan will have a plan for him unlike our 18 months of nowt.Best of luck Jon and thank you.

Stephen Wearne in from MK Dons. A ‘creative player’ likely to affect things in the final third, or so we’re told. MK dons and Gateshead. Why aren’t I surprised?

He’s good value; as faithful as a Cumbrian sheepdog and as agile and willing as the Duracell bunny. Unfortunately he has the first touch of a JCB and the subtle skills of King Kong. Capable of incisive runs with the ball, which ends up disappearing into the crowd, but he’ll throw his body on the line to defend. Marmite.
