Good news at the moment, Rotherham Central railway station open.

I'll be on the 9.36 train from Swinton.

Forgot about it being the televised match.

So to make sure coverage isn't disrupted, have SKY actually paid for the hot air covering and had all the paths cleared?

Not something the club have done in the past and the way things are financially looking at the moment, would seem something of an over spend.

Freezing fog forecast now so that might be a problem.

The pitch should be inspected this afternoon and a decision made. If it's not fit now it certainly won't be tomorrow morning, with severe overnight temperatures and dense fog forecast.

It will be made as late as possible because sky are always behind such. Sky will eventually with too much influence ruin football….if they haven’t already.

What about all these interventions to get a game on, does not take into account fans having to sit down freezing to death. Nor issues getting there, walking around the place….and looks pretty stupid with so many empty seats which will arise.

Common sense needs to come back into ??? football ???

Would have thought the hot air tent stays on as long as possible, but what time in morning would they need to take it down for? How long does it take down? would a pitch inspection be done, before or after the tent is taken down.
How long does soil take to freeze, guess they'll need to skip the pre-match and half time watering, or it might freeze a bit faster.

Lets hope they have extra hot water urns and bovril available, as both have run out before end of half time break.
Also, why don't one of the kiosks on each stand stay open to serve hot drinks snacks (no alcohol) during the 2nd half.
