Put simply it's because he's the leader of the 'free world' and whatever conclusions he comes to and whatever decisions he makes could have a very direct impact on all of our lives.

Good point Danny but Trump will follow the mandate from his own people together with putting US interests first. Appease Putin? Are some NATO countries like Austria, Slovakia and Hungary already doing this by flying to Moscow and licking his back side? This is why it?s hard to disagree with Trump when he says every NATO country should provide the same percentage of their GDP for ammunition and aid. Why should some NATO countries not provide anything and I get why this riles Trump! Many Americans are of the view their country should not police the world for others. NATO should have been stronger and not dithered like Germany and the wet lettuce Macron too!

If I was the Labour government I would start appeasing Trump but no they are intent on meddling and name calling Trump/Musk. Not the way to get this guy on your side and yes he could be evil with putting up his middle finger.

In terms of Ukraine - I honestly can?t now see any alternative but conceding land but to ensure another inch is not gained. Countries who are not ( we are altogether as an alliance) ie Hungary and Slovakia in my view should be told to pick their side. They can?t have it both ways and why should the American tax payers stand for this?

Trump is the last concern on my mind in our own broken country where prices are going through the roof, crime is getting worse and Starmer and Co are simply embarrassing. That?s the reality. The old saying is true - to get your own house in order first!

Any sensible individual would not bite and get both of them on side. Everything now is Right Wing!
