The good players that leave don't always succeed. Just like some of the belters Notts have signed over the years and they've completely failed.

Notts need players who want to be at the club and have no (or not too many) external distractions.

Good luck to DC if he goes, but onwards and upwards for Notts. He'll just be another ex-Notts player.

Good on the brothers for bringing in replacements though.

we've struggled to replace AN on the left, and he's been a blessing for MKD. IF Crowley does go to them, then we'd better bl00dy well go up otherwise I'd see this as a poor show from DC and the Bros. Hope I'm wrong - again

I?ll be gutted to see him go and surprised it?s another league 2 team.
If it?s a good sum of money and his head has been turned then it?s probably a reluctant sale by the bros. It will only be the wrong decision if we don?t go up and they do.

yes a good fee would mitigate it slightly, and no one wants a player who wants away. But AN and DC were really starting to get a good understanding before AN left and it just feels like we're giving them the tools to be better than us. But 2, who can say today what value we'll eventually get out of this IF it happens so I'll happily eat my words if it does turn out reet.

Now if it was JJ who could be going, then we'd all be questioning the clubs ambition

Crowley is flashy but JJ gets assists. Have JJ sitting behind Jatta with Whittaker or Jarvis could be tasty. Frees up Grant and Edwards to rotate with Abbott and Palmer

A few MK fans on Twitter saying the fee is ?300k and that their wealthy owners are prepared to pay a premium now, before new financial rules come in next season.

No idea how true it all is, but for me that fee - and the fact we lose him either way in the summer - would soften the blow a bit.

It's worth a lot more to go up than 300k, Crowley going makes that less likely.

A bird in the hand …… if the fee really is ?300k for a league 2 player in last 6 months of contract I’d rip their hands off, much as I’d hate to see him leave, especially to MK.

If it?s 300K, that would be a ridiculous amount for a league 2 journeyman with only 6 months left on his contract.

Personally, I would have preferred to have kept him as we are a much better side with him in it, and he could have had a pick of clubs to play for next season.

Nightmare scenario would be him and Nemane getting promoted at our expense.
