Instead of making a sweeping statement just post which poster you consider to be a sanctimonious arsehole.

I am a former Dee4life director who resigned in January 2023 because a majority of Dee4life directors voted in favour of not telling the Dee4life members what had happened with their nomination of Kenny Valentine as the Dee4life Primary Representative on the Dundee Football Club Limited board of directors.
In my opinion this was wrong as the Dee4life directors had promised at the Dee4life AGM in November 2022 to keep their members fully informed and to ‘hold their feet to the fire’ to get things done.
I could not remain part of the Dee4life board of directors who were not going to practice what they preached.
To cap it all I had to agree to a ‘watered down’ reason for resigning as a Dee4life director which was published on the Dee4life website instead of the real reason why I had resigned because it did not suit the agenda of certain members of the Dee4life board of directors at that time.

Genuinely fail to see the purpose of D4L.

They ain't gonna hold any ****s feet to the fire, they ain't gonna enforce A share rights and they ain't growing their membership.

    They are DSA light.

The current D4L board would love to be raging sycophants like DSA but Der Fuhrer won't allow them access to the inner sanctum.

Think they are a worthwhile organisation, and should be supported as they may be needed in the future. Building membership is a challenge because there is no obvious role for them at the moment.

Why do you see them as worthwhile?

You seem to have a habit of being banned from committees or thrown out of places.

    One wonders why.

Mibbe Islay had his feet held to the fire 🔥 to resign......then again it's D4L.....probably no.......though they probably took legal advice. 😎

The Board members when I have spoken to them seem genuine and have the best of intentions towards our club.

I don't see what they can do about their lack of a relationship with John Nelms. I think they should find some support they could provide and they should just help the club as best they can.

In my opinion, hey can't sell the A shares or use their ownership to enforce their entrenched rights. They can't sell, unless the Dee4life members voted for that, and imo they know that no matter who they propose John Nelms will not accept their Nominee. To be honest, I have not seen any official statement that this is actually what John Nelms thinks, but I have never heard anyone say anything different.

Any action to enforce the rights would appear to require a legal process and imo, the Dee4life Board consider it wrong to fight the club over these issues. I agree.

There are a few posters on here who disagree, and it is quite reasonable for them to express these views.

Hopefully, the stadium will be built, the club progresses and the support for both the club and Dee4life grows.
