All of this is on the manager for me. If theres players not showing the right attitude, why is he sticking with them every week?

I like him way more than I like the players but hes not helping himself at all. He?s committing managerial suicide every single week with the selections, tactics and philosophy (insert spew smiley here)

When youre this bad, you have to sort out the basics before you can worry about trying to play nice football through the opposition. Working harder off the ball, picking up your men properly, clearing up the park or up wide, defending set pieces & making yourself hard to beat is the first step.

Absolute pish like Dundee Utd, Hibs. St.Mirren, Motherwell & the Huns didnt beat us by being good. We f*cked ourselves over for them

Shortly after Goodwin replaced Glass as our manager Dave Cormack did an interview where he said that he had a meeting with some of the senior members of the team asking them if he should sack Stephen Glass after a defeat to Dundee the previous October. He said that the players talked him into giving Glass more time as manager to get things right.

That was a huge mistake from Cormack and I really hope he has learned his lesson from that one. He better not be asking the likes of Shinnie and Devlin the same thing about Thelin.

Nae sure how I missed this when I made similar points about it being different players.

Cormack is the turnip here, asking the question of the players is ridiculous, telling all and sundry about it is another.
Was unaware of this. I don’t doubt the guy means well but his naivety/ego will be our downfall.

Only Mackenzie and Besuijen have played for all 4.
Add Clarkson, Duk, Morris, Polvara to those who played under Goodwin. (Shinnie only came in at the tail end)

Would be better if it was the one team, but it’s several!

Not to excuse these individuals but again I’m harking back to the lack of Technical Director.

Is our model wrong? Is our mix of project/model players to experience skewed?
Like Warnock says are we concentrating too much on data?
Not a fan of him but can’t say he’s not experienced.

With how Jimmy spoke in the build up to the window I fair thought we’d we seeing some experienced Scottish players come in.
    That’s not transpired (yet…hope springs eternal…I’m a dandy after all…).

I’m still fully behind JT but it’s moot if he’s not getting fully supported, and I don’t just mean Dave flinging money at ‘the model’.
Ok, I could have worded it better - I meant between them the pre Thelin signings have seen off up to 4 managers - some 1 or 2, up to the full 4.

The point still stands though. All need binned. None have the mentality or ability to play for AFC.

I also remember the bit about Cormack asking the senior players about Glass. That approach hasnt been mentioned again since with the other managers, so hopefully he did learn his lesson from that mistake.

    He better have.

No being able to get in a striker JT wants is going to speed up his sacking.

If Jimmy Turnip gets beaten by Dunfermline do you think he should be removed as Dons manager?

Remember Dunfermline are in the Championship in 8th position which would suggest they shouldn?t be too difficult to deal with if we go about our business professionally.

No, he won't be sacked if we get beat on Sunday.

We've just spent quite a sizeable amount of cash on what has to be players of his choosing. We'd look even more stupid if we sacked him now.

I reckon he has the rest of the season, unless the winless run carries on in the league into March. Only then could I see the board taking action.

I always thought we would struggle when our winning run came to and end, but not quite this bad. I also believe once we get the next league victory, we will go on another run of winning games.

Third place and the Scottish cup will do fine for JTs first season.

It`s an interesting one. And without knowing all the shenigans going on behind the scene, we aare all just guessing .

    Here`s my guess .
JT has come from a completely different Country, and a majorly different mindset.

Being a bit simple about it, i am assuming that in Sweden people are slightly less hysterical than the Scots.
Or at least in football circles.
He has been selected, chased and eventually recruited by a dtermined suitor who has promised him the time to do things the way he has succesfully done his job in the past. He believes he truly has a 3 year paln and will be given that time to follow it through ?

I also guess that he was absolutely flummoxed the way the first 10-15b games went. As he knew the players he had were not doing it his way very well. But amazingly they just kept winnig....jusy. And often , only just . Remeber he kept saying " They keep finding a way to win " Despite letting every opposition team have loads of posseision and space to make chances . Even Airdrie were made to look good , really good, in their game ?

He certainly wasn`t going to " do a Fergie" and tear a strip off them after they won agame after game, but only just. Probably knowing that many of the players confidence was fragile. Peter Leven could have warned him about that. ?

So , when the luck turned, and those 93rd minute goals stopped winning games, and things slipped, I`m sure he was telling, telling, telling his players all week in training what they still needed to do. Run , chase , harry.......but off thjey trot onto the park, and bleurgh...nada !!

So we`ve seen the mask slip now. He is finally admitting in public, in his mild a cold Swedish way , that they need to " run about a bit" as Barry Robson would have said.

Oh what the hell. I`m rambling. We need a couple of younger players to run about a bit in midfield. And we need more crosses into the box. And a Striker that runs about a lot and can shoot on sight, and on target.

    There. I said it !!

    COYR.
