Really unfair with your Flemming comments mnrht. He's being tasked with a role he is not equipped to do.

Play him like Millwall did with a free role behind a proper number nine and he is lethal.

Regarding Foster, I've watched several fan reviews and the consensus was he had an outstanding second half but they all agree he is playing out of position. I can't comment as I didn't go to the match as I thought I was going to see it on Sky but for some obscure reason my club couldn't get it and I ended up watching QPR beat the 'stewards so it wasn't all bad.

Foster is not to blame, Parker is for picking him.

If Scotty Parker picked a feckled Foster
Where?s the feckless Foster that Scotty Parker picked?

The question I think will be if Marcus Edwards comes into the starting line up (presumably on the right wing) who will make way? I am looking forward to seeing the team sheet v the Saints.

    Sinkov got me thinking...

For Lyle Foster with apologies to Kipling.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too.

If you can wait to score a goal and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise.

    If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same.

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn out tools.

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss.

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much.

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll score a goal old son!

Rupert Brooke, from his corner of a foreign field, also has misgivings about our Mr Foster.

Oh never doubt that I shall wake
And visit gladly for their sake
    Bleak League grounds yet
    Where to forget
The lies and truths and pain,
    Oh yet !
    Stands the church clock
    At half past four
    And Lyle Foster
    Still to score.

This one could run & run which is more than can be said for Lyle Foster.

Foster is our Joelinton, he's a midfielder in disguise. Joelinton's longest goal drought was 2130 minutes but Eddie Howe saw something in him. Perhaps he'll take Foster.

One of the most astute moves any manager or coach has ever made, or was it just pure luck ? Joelinton was an absolute donkey as a striker but has turned into a class act in midfield. All credit to Eddie.

Never realised we had so much literary talent on board. Congratulations to all our budding poets.
