John Eustace looks like getting the gig at Derby. Can't see Matt Hamshaw being part of that. Saying that he set Derby up well yesterday at Norwich. Maybe there may be an opening for him and Warrington in, should Eustace get the position, in the backroom. However I somehow doubt it.

We played in all yellow when we won the Totty Cup with his dad in the team in 1972.

For the life of me I cant recall Matt Hamshaw or the family. I lived in Parkgate and hung around the area and Rawmarsh for a number of my youth years. Cam that was 60s

I don't know Matt as he was just a baby at the time I moved away from the area although my parents still lived there and I visited until my Dad died in 2014. Matt's Dad's family lived just a stone's throw from Monkwood School (Harding or Meadow Avenue) and his Mum's family lived directly across the street from us in the lower part of Hague Avenue that was built around 1963. She had 3 brothers who were all well known in local football (Roddis) and her Dad, Matt's Grandad even played for England Schoolboys. At one time when with SW Matt lived next door but one to his Grandparents house, hardly a snob as a professional footballer living on a council estate?

My bias view of Matt Hamshaw. I say bias because he is a family friend. We were with him and his wife?s family at a wedding last summer.

We spoke about the appointment of Evans and he was of the opinion that he would do well with is although it was a strange move by Stewart

He was offered the job when Warne left but there are a few reasons he didn?t take it and the main one was because he didn?t think that he was ready!

He left on good terms and hopes that one day he will have the chance of returning.

He is a Rotherham United supporter and always has been. He would have liked to have played for us but it didn?t happen.
He signed for S6 when they were the third best team in England.

He always talks passionately about the Millers and remains a Rotherham United Supporter!

PW got a lot of leeway early on because of his long asocciation with the club. MH doesn't have that. You lot will have him on toast unless he's an instant success.

I cannot think of anyone who would or has shared that opinion. I dare say you cannot stand the current two on loan?

Crazy. No, correction. The comment is. By the same token you?ll never read a book by its cover.
