As with the Plymouth penalty, disallowing Armstrongs goal was a game changer. I agree with you Kettering, the standard of refereeing in this division is poor. We did not play well though and in fairness we looked more likely when Wallace came on.

Styles, Wildsmith and Mowatt really poor today. I don?t think Fellows did anything positive either.

Really bad day at the office.

Only positive, Price?s delivery is a weapon.

    Well, didn't enjoy that much😞
Credit to Blackburn who were solid defensively and made it very difficult for us to break through their lines in the first half proving that 65% possession can be meaningless. Then again, we were also guilty of too many sloppy passes and not moving the ball about quickly enough. A lack of ideas and incisiveness that looked like a replay of the first half against Plymouth.

The downside of playing a more attacking style of football with more players forward is that it also leaves us more vulnerable to counter attacks and Blackburn (aided by some defensive errors) capitalised on that very well. Having said that, I think Wildsmith really should have done much better with the second.

Other end of the pitch was-as discussed in an previous thread- typical rugby scrum time for all our corners and really don't know why referees continue to let it go on. Pushing and shirt pulling from both sides and the Blackburn player who went down and claimed he was fouled had his arms all over Holgate seconds before. Despite this, I honestly couldn't see why Armstrong had his goal disallowed which, had it counted, may have changed the game. Lankshear's on the other- hand was a great strike but pretty clearly off side.

Disappointing from both Fellows and Johnston and could see why TM decided to sub them and try something else. Good to see Lankshear get an outing but I'm sure many groaned to see Price come off too and old favourites Wallace, Diangana and Swift come on-although, to be fair to Wallace, he at least battled well and put a few good balls in even if he no longer has the pace.

The scoreline may have flattered Blackburn a bit but, again, too many under-par performances and too frequently lethargic. We have some tough away games coming up so need to be much better if we want to end up in a play off position.
