Take a bow West Bromwich Albion, tremendous second half
So pleased that the little cheat ended up on the losing side.
Well done and well fought, excellent.
And I predicted 1-0, Armstrong. 😊
Sigh of relief when that final whistle went to hold on to the 3 points but a deserved and well fought win in the end.
Sounded a pretty dire first half but when we went down to 10 men they showed real teamwork and determination in defending the lead and the crowd certainly seemed to appreciate it and get behind them.
Can see Price becoming a firm fan favourite with another good performance but whilst his fiery attitude can get himself into trouble, Molumby's combativeness comes into its own in games like this.
Who will replace Furlong for the next three games? Holgate. Any other suggestions.
We really are short of defenders. Think I'm correct we only have 4 defenders available now Holgate, Bartley, Heggem and Styles who have played for us in the Championship. Already been asked on here 'Why did we send Taylor out on loan?
Chance for one of the kids? No idea which one is ready.
Believe we still have Frabotta who made an appearance for our PL2 side recently but he is more of a left back and would prefer Holgate to him in any case. Given the circumstances, we may rue allowing Caleb back out on loan but it obviously made sense at the time, both in terms of finances and game-time development for him.
That's the point Omeg there was a few of us who thought it didn't make sense at the time. If you look on the website we only have 5 listed defenders who have played in the Championship (I think that's crazy) plus Styles who is really a converted midfielder. Imo common sense said it just wasn't enough as injuries and suspensions are inevitable and no allowance for loss of form. Cover for both full backs are really centre halves.
But enough negativity from me. Holgate to score the only goal on Tuesday night.
On another note anyone seen an angle on Furlong's sending off that might be grounds for an appeal?
