For me, your'e both right. The manager can never be above criticism. Nor can the players. And the point of forums like this is to express your own feelings and opinions.
Equally, opinions should be balanced, not just knee-jerk reactions. And strong criticism should be backed up by reasoning as to what was felt to be wrong, and what might be done to make it better.
After all, everyone is hoping for the same outcome here.
I agree Bill, now is not the time for fishing trips with old arguments? I?m probably just as guilty as I could see the response coming when I replied? and sure enough it came, so I?ll apologise for not holding my tongue at the time, but that ships sailed now 🤣

    Aye, OwldBill's right, lads.

We've all got out opinions and there's elements of merit in both.

Fact is, we're all after the same thing-and we got it yesterday.

We?ve had this to criticise or not criticise numerous times before.

You hung your little comment out again, and so replied as I always do? and you?re trying to score points at a time like this.

People who have seen the back and forth we?ve had in the past will make their own mind up, but as far as I am concerned it?s pathetic to use the first trophy win in god knows how long to score points by revisiting an old argument.

As for being wrong? I banged on a long time ago saying we needed to start Tonali? but the cool aid drinkers were all ?we have to support Eddie? ?can?t have your own opinion? ?we always win when Longstaff starts?? and that was my issue with Eddie? then we got round to starting Tonali? went on a fantastic run of wins.

So tell me how I?ve been proven wrong to question Howe starting Longstaff over Tonali again, tell me how that is such a ?strong and controversial point of view? I?d say I was proven right 🤣
How were you proven wrong? Because you wanted Eddie out and hes just managed us to our first domestic cup success in 70 years.
It doesnt get more wrong than that.

Questioning him on selecting Longstaff over Tonali is NOT the same as wanting him out, it?s a massive f**king leap.

I?ve said I have my doubts about him, in the face of continued selection of Longstaff over Tonali, but you?re changing the narrative massively with that bo!!ocks.

So again? this time without any bu!!****, how was I wrong to question Howe for selecting Longstaff over Tonali?

No good answer, because there isn?t one, because all managers and players are not perfect, and it?s well within everyone?s rights to question or criticise when they see something they disagree with? it?s a forum of opinions

    Lads, lads, lads.

We're Winners FFS, we've all said things that have rubbed each other up the wrong way!

That's the beauty of this forum. We're all highly passionate about the club.

In my comments earlier in the thread, I completely forgot the Champions League season.

Fair play to you both for having strong opinions either way but do me one favour.

Take a breath and give us a chorus of CHAMPIONEZ, CHAMPIONEZ, OLAY, OLAY, OLAY
