He was f**king immense, as pretty much everyone was.

We had a perfect game plan from Eddie and the players, apart from a few wayward passes, executed the plan almost faultlessly.

However stuck to his guns, massive props to him? I was convinced the only way we would beat Liverpool was to surprise them with some different tactics? but we played our normal game just to the best of our ability, and we were head and shoulders the better team.

Tonali is the best midfielder I've seen in a that position since Garry Speed. I'd say at 24 he's got levels that will take him to hights the Legends Speedo (God rest his soul) to eclipse the great man. Tonali is a world class player.

We have now IMO 5 World Class players.

    1. Isak
    2. Bruno
    3. Tonali
    4.Joelinton
    5. Botman

Isak. We've all waxed lyrically about the ability of this lad. We're all agreed that he's that good. Hilarious that all the MSM clowns down play how good he is 'Is Isak world class?' (drunken brain damaged cockey accent) "nah nah, not yet.. wot's 'e done? Wot's 'e won?"

In the next breath. "Arsenal would be champions if they sign Isak 'e's levels above what they've got".

    Make that make sense!?!

Bruno in the more creative role is really showing (eyeball) he controls games. The stats back it up with his completions and shot creation / game

Tonali's reading of the game, the engine and his ability on and off the ball is superb. He dominated Alexis Mac Allister & Szoboszlai. That's a world cup winner and a player all the commentators do that annoying inflection with their voice like he's the 2nd coming of jesus when ever he touches the ball which just winds me up. "SzoboszLOOOOI, searching, probing, hunting ... blah blah blah."

Joelinton. The machines, the beast. Hero reborn from his disastrous start to life on Tyneside. He never gave up and look at him now. Ryan Gravenberch another media Hype job, talked about in hush tones as some kind of Zidane-esque figure was dominated by the Brazilian. Barely got a kick in dangerous areas. Gravenberch will be having nightmares about Joey dominating him.

Botman will come back stronger and better next season. I have no doubt about that.

    Superb to see.

    So proud.

    Just looking at our squad?

Isak, Gordon, Tonali, Bruno, Big Joe, Botman (assuming he is as good as ever, and medical science has been all over ACL?s since Shearer did his back in his first season at Blackburn? so why wouldn?t he be), Tino and Hall.

8 players who would walk into most teams and compete to get in the rest if they didn?t.

What a solid bunch of players to build a dynasty around.

Not taking away from Burn and Schar, but their careers are in the final stages if we are honest with ourselves, so aren?t the future but have a season or 2 left in them still.

Pope and Dubs, and as much as I know some people will very rightly argue against but Murphy too, are in positons we need to consider a new first choice player for if we are going to have a team that can regularly compete for CL spots.

I get that Murphy is doing the business this season, but I cannot get over his lack of challenges/tackling or his apparent unwillingness to take players on? but that is just my opinion.

We have the makings of a team that can compete for CL and both domestic cups, we just need to bring in a few players to strengthen the first 11 in the summer and leave us with a bench full of options? like the teams who regularly compete for the CL spots have.

    Absolutely Nuf!

All the noise is that we've pretty done the deal for the Burnley keeper Trafford. That's a great addition. Last summer we were all after Mamardashvili but a season of extra experience for Trafford and the Georgian heading else where I'm pleased to bring the lad in.

Also, I'm quietly delighted that we're signing top top quality English talent. Should they all be on form next season the England squad could consist of: Tino, Hall, Gordon, Burn, Trafford.

    Possible shouts
Pope maybe if others get injured
Harvey Barnes final performance is an eye opener. Big game player?
If Tommy T likes Hendo, he'll love Shane Longstaff. Basically the same player but a lot younger legs on the Geordie.

Should we sign Guehi, that'd be 9 Newcastle players in the 23 man England squad.

As well as the above just look at the talent just waiting to be let loose from the academy, they keep adding and adding future talent.

In just a couple of seasons there will be a few of the likes of Miley vying for first team places.

Perhaps even another Gaza in the offing.
