Steve Evans would be ok on a car boot selling meat from a butchers van, because he
certainly butchered our club, this time around.
With his side-kick Paul Raynor taking orders with his pen & paper, then giving the
out-stretched arms gesture, to say people are getting a good deal.

Indeed it does Grist. They?re not welders or brickie?s downing tools, they are professional sportsmen who are idols to some and owe the paying supporters 100% commitment whether they like the boss or not. Disgraceful behaviour.

Yes Brin. We?re from an era where we?d pretend not to be injured, not roll about banging on the floor like some of these wusses.

I think such athleticism is completely beyond him. But he may float up like the malignant little t*rd he is, into another poor sod's drains.
Frankly don't care, as long as it isn't ours.
Comments like this are why I persevere with this group. Brilliant!

It?s a bit harsh but worth its weight in gold comedically!

I see part of your point. There's supportive, assertive and the least liked, aggressive management styles. Clearly Evans was the latter. The point I was making was that some players don't like being told the truth when it comes to underperforming. It was probably Evans' style that lost him control of the dressing room and players respect how he communicated with them.

There are several ways to communicate your points to someone but, not everyone likes poor feedback or shall we say constructive criticism. That was point I was trying to make. I have on another post expressed my dislike for Evans tenure this time around so I'm not standing up for him here either.

On the point of Jordan, he was actually playing much better on the three previous games Evans last used him but, he suddenly dropped him back to the bench, lord knows why? As for yesterday, he looked like he had more bite in him, the player we first signed springs to mind.

He has 1 year left on his contract so it's down to him to 'stand up' if he wants more game time. I have the feeling he will do just that IF given the chance by Matt.
I got the impression that SE was very adept at criticism, I doubt much of it was constructive though?

"Sir Alex Ferguson told me to pick my chairman and not the club, and when Mr Chariman and I met I knew it was the one for me".

"I spoke with Brendan Rodgers and he told me it was an incredible opportunity".

I can hear the interview now.

He must be coming up to retirement. He's been on a decent wage at least the last 12 years.
Maybe write that book. I'd read it!!
