Agree with all the consistently suggested names. I am going to rule out Abbott purely as he?s a loan player, Bedeau just pips Platt but the vote goes to McGoldrick. He does things others at the club and in the league simply can?t do. He?s a thoroughbred, he?s a stayer and plays with the enthusiasm of a ****ager

Great news, I think they got the player award exactly right.

(but everyone knows it's Abbott's goal at Accy I sent the link to many non-Notts fans and they all picked it without hesitation)

The way I saw the Player of the Year race....Platt was the early frontrunner, but Didzy was coming like a train just before his injury. During his time out, Platt, Bedeau, Bass didn't really kick on (Abbott was though), but when Didzy came back he picked up where he left off and stormed into the front and pulled clear a bit, ahead of some excellent competition.

I went for Bedeau, extend his contract whilst they are at it.

    I've gone for Platt.

He has been consistently a solid performer.

I went with Didzy. I was among those who wrote him off last season, after expecting him to be a cheat code at this level (that was one thing Luke Williams got wrong) - but this season he has delivered. Leaving aside all of the spectacular goals, there are times watching him nutmeg players or leave a defender for dead with a body swerve that just bring a smile to the face. And that doesn?t happen very often in modern-day football. In L2, he?s an artist among decorators.

I didn't wait for the last game or play-offs, 45 games are enough - I voted for Didzy

I think there's a bit of separation for 1st, but if pressured to choose between Abbott, Bedeau and Platt for 2nd, that's so difficult, it really could be a 3-way tie.

his influence on our performances hasn't been quite so visible as the others, but he's been a rock of dependable calm and the keystone of a great defensive season allowing Platt and Bedeau to also have great seasons - I'd probably have voted for Alex Bass if he'd been able to play the whole season.

As it is, I agree with most that while Abbott, Bedeau and Platt have all had brilliant seasons, Didzy deserves the award.

David McGoldrick - for me, now firmly in the ranks of genuine club legends.
