Only thing that springs to mind is not selling and keeping hold of Langstaff for one year. That was no small matter and a decision that might have counted for a lot more if they'd brought in somebody to push us on to promotion that season, but sadly they opted for Maynard.

McGoldrick seemingly would have come back regardless, with him just wanting to play for Notts again in the twilight of his career, so I don't think they can take too much credit for that.
I'd say their bash at long-term sustainability and not having us sh!tt!ng our pants at the end of the season wondering if we'd still have a club is a pretty fine and solid achievement. That is not to say that I don't think they've made misjudgments but surely our potential future is brighter than at any time post-Pavis

If we get a really rated HC and some quality signings the mood will lift in an instant. We?ve already got a decent keeper and defence, 2 exciting wingers if played on the wing will excel and a decent forward who needs to find his mojo again, we need at least 5 quality signings, not impossible.

I know I sound like a broken record but we need to get away from a division where one bad season, puts you back in the NL and a huge opportunity has been missed to do that.

I actually agree with that and I've expressed the concern that this team isn't as good as we think it is. We have two and a half good defenders but playing an a three they aren't going to get a lot of help from the midfield (barring George who's gone). However, there is a long term plan and the club is in a lot better shape than some of absolute rubbish we've witnessed this century (pretend money team excepted).

    Hmmm....how soon they forget.
What about hanging on to Wooton instead of selling him.?
What about hanging on to Rodders instead of selling him.?
Both with the aim of achieving promotion. If that's not enough who paid the wages for Mcgoldrick to come to the club in the first place? A reported ?6,000 a week...that smells of no ambition.
So apart from not selling their best players to achieve promotion, and paying a top forward six grand a week, paying transfer fees to secure s top keeper and potentially top centre back and forwards, investing in the infrastructure of the club what have the Brothers ever done for us..!?
Oh yes they bought a club that was bankrupt and was widing up and going out of business. That the trouble with these Danes, they have no ambition..!!!

It's crazy to suggest these owners lack ambition. We are the best run we have been for many many years.

How much better would previous owners have done with 10k plus through the gates on a regular basis?

How much better would owners of most clubs do from mid-way L1 downwards do with our gates?

Bought in says to me revenue. It could be that we are making a tidy profit though. We have a deal with Molson Coors but no idea how that is working. If we get a percentage of every pint sold rather than we buy in barrels and sell on at the tap, we probably make a lot more money that way. Tag in the fact the bar staff and security probably were already employed at Notts, makes it so our overheads haven't gone that far up

And I'd have a chance of winning the lottery if I bought a ticket.

The owners put their hands in their pockets and then actually did things to make people want to come to the ground other than splash their todger. I can't believe the extra 6 to 7 k just arrived by magic. They marketed, they spent time and effort, and they turned things around.

Mind you I do miss not being able to have the dinner convo about just when in the next week we're going to go bust.

I don?t know and we will never know because that?s the whole point they never did achieve 10k plus through the gates on a regular basis. Some struggled to get half that as you will recall.

I?m not necessarily blaming the previous owners but there is your evidence of ambition in a nutshell.

As Pedro pointed out with a few fine examples there are plenty to choose from. They go beyond keeping hold of Langstaff, The Nest and the Padel courts
