Alas not or I'd have been his agent Imagine how many zeros would have been in my bank balance now.

Would you like a small wager on him this coming season?

Nothing massive just a small wager of a Pukka pie and the bragging rights

I say Jordan will score 10 goals or more this season, league goals of course. What do you think to that?

Your not a footballer though. Rules don't apply, even though they should

Contract or not, most people respond to the way that they are managed in either a positive or negative way.

Taylor didn't strike me as being a particularly inspiring character, but that may be unkind as I didn't see enough. Richardson didn't have a chance, given the hand he was dealt.

I did get to watch Evans and Raynor and don't think that they could lead a conga at a New Year Party. Constantly bellowing at players and calling them out in public was 'not terribly inspiring'. I'm surprised that they've never been chinned.

I'll back Hamshaw on Hugill until they give me a reason not to.

Lofty ambitions! Ok I will go for that. League goals only as you say.

As a team we will have our moments, Hugill will have his days in the sun. 10 goals in 40 or so games is definitely achievable for him, a piece of cake if he’s the penalty taker.

Our problem though still lies further back, I’ve not seem much yet in the coaching, players or set up that will stop us conceding daft goals in defence

Tighten up there and we have a chance of a top 10 finish

His approach to the game has improved under Hammy.

I get the feeling that Hugill is one of those players who responds positively to a positive managerial approach, and this season, that's what he's getting.

I've been critical of him in the past, but that was mainly down to his mindset/attitude. This season I predict 15 goals, League and Cups.

Yes. 34 goals against in the 46 games of 1980-81 Porterfield 3rd Division Championship run is much better than 98 against in the 2016-17 Stubbs/Jackett season.
