Any reason for optimism is invited at this point. Sesko has the potential to be world class - would love it if this happened.

Odds on favourite Šeško to join Newcastle United.

Rumours of Šeško’s departure from Leipzig have slowly gathered momentum throughout the summer transfer window and the forward
now looks closer than ever to leaving the club, with Newcastle emerging as the clear frontrunners to secure Šeško’s services at odds of 8/15.

The 22-year-old forward has impressed in Germany with his pace, movement, and clinical finishing. Despite a competitive forward line at Leipzig, Šeško managed to net 18 goals in all competitions last season, attracting attention from some of Europe’s top clubs.

Manchester United (11/8) are believed to be monitoring the situation closely and could still make a late push, while Chelsea (20/1) are also listed in the market, though their interest has reportedly cooled.

Beyond the Premier League, several European giants remain in the mix. Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, and Arsenal are all 28/1 outsiders, while PSG and Real Madrid are priced at 33/1.

There’s also been speculative interest from Saudi Arabia, with Any Saudi Club listed at 25/1, though such a move would represent a surprise departure from top-level European football at this stage in Šeško’s career.

Even though it makes sense and is logic, I'm not going to get my hopes up. With Man U, Chelsea etc. around, its always hard for us.

That said, here he can take Isaks place in a well function team, and with the no 9 shirt he will be the main man.

As a career move, its the best move Sesko can make.

This looks credible but not believing it untill I see him with the shirt at SJP.

So we keep Isak for another year, get in Sesko and the German lad sign a CB and Big Joe replacement by next week.

Not much to ask is it?
