Everton is a game we need points for and the board haven?’t give Farke all the tools he needs. We are definitely stronger in many areas but a 9 and 10 are obvious areas.

El Khannouss we seemed to have messed around with, ditto Manor Solomon (if we really want him) and Munoz who was our number 1 attacking target by all accounts. If we want them then we need to pay the going rate - noting we were in the top 10 in Europe for funds received for transfers between Jan 24 and Jan 25.

Surely if they wanted Muniz that bad (and he fits the profile) we would have made a decent bid etc.

Lot of work still to do for sure.
I'm not sure, but I think their mindset is Survival. Spending $30- $ 40 million on one Player is out of the question, as if we get relegated again, they will have headaches. Look how much Bamf has cost the club. So if we go ok and survive, say around the 15th, well, next season they will start introducing more expensive signings. Nothing wrong with that, as it's good business and they are a business.

30m on a striker isn?t that much in the PL Oz.

If DCL and Nmecha stay injury free and hit form then great but the evidence of the last 3 to 4 seasons suggest that may not happen so to take that chance might be seen as a little fool hardy.

DF and a lot of sensible ex players have all said we are still light in that area and out wide.

    Your sounding uncharacteristically down H.

Listening to the full DF 27 minute presser & the full Beckford interview with DCL still leaves me feeling upbeat regarding this season.

DF made his points honestly, politely & firmly in a reassuring calm manner.
Also he appears to know the inner-psyche of his troops well - overall an interesting mix of arrivals to give us options over the 90 plus mins game time offering pace & skill with intelligence too.

Just think many clubs are gonna take time to implement their 'tactical-nouse' via their new expensive acquisitions which we can capitalise on.

Think we have done well with purchasing players regarding the persona, learning or developing their vast array of decent skill-sets - with some loose cash to spare too.
Just got to get them into the habit of consistency using the quality they all have week in now, imo. 👍

Have decided to watch Spurs - Burnley. Burnley have not put together 3 passes in a row. Spurs score inside 10 min. Against a team that had 29 clean sheets last season in championship. I am getting pessimistic about our chances of staying up.

Hmmmn not down - I was just expecting a bit more but accepting that the window is not yet done.

Great start by Sunderland which shows if you buy the right players ??..

Impressed with the recruitments in midfield and defence - left back could turn out to be very good.

Still think we are a few short in attack though.

    😎

Sunderland have Le Bris who is a great astute Coach.

From Brittany too & been involved in local French Ligue 1 clubs around my home patch.
His thirst for knowledge also extended to gaining a Doctorate in Sport Physiology and biomechanics before he embarked on his coaching career - so he defo knows a good 'un.

He encouraged flair from his midfield, for sure at all his clubs, including Sunderland, 'tho last season & today against West Ham Le Bris still tends to 'prioritise' getting the ball quickly wide to create 1v1s at pace - brave style of play to employ if you have the strike per-centage to bang them in the net & willing wing backs to bust their lungs within the games momentum.

Momentum & consistency gonna be key for us with the crowd behind us too - without those elements we will stutter & we know the script ending should that be the case.

Maybe 49'ers guilty of 'putting a monkey on DF's back' which 'could' lead to some feeling overwhelmed & potentially hindering our productivity but in my eyes our present situation highlights the importance of effective delegation & responsibility within management vibes.
Could be wrong but we shall see. 👍

    Great result for them today.

West Ham seem poor and Burnley look weak too. Just need a couple more to add to that list so we can have a a reasonable chance of escaping.

Pretty sure I seen biometrics or biometricengineering mentioned. As far as that is concerned and AI, we are doomed. Premiership finish is the least of our worries.

However, staying above Brentford will be a temporary bonus
