If we keep up our current average goals per game in the league this season, I've calculated that, over 38 games, we will score a total of 0 goals.

I thought Gyamfi was the main positive to take from the game , he did well.
Still driving to game when the team was broadcast and Shinnie Nilsen again , thought at time should just turnaround because it never works .
It is one or the other ( if contractually bound to play Nilsen )
I just don't get how Thelin cannot accept he is wrong in this .

We look like a group of decent players but not a team and never a settled team.
They need to turn this around PDQ as that was a "must win " game which we didn't and the crowd are definitely beginning to turn

Aberdeen's League form since last November:
    P31, W5, D8, L18, GF24, GA56, Pts23

That is 0.74points per game. That is not just relegation form, That is nose diving off a cliff form.

4 league games so far this season including 2 *home* games to both the newly promoted teams and our return is 1 point and zero goals.
    That is fkn horrific

As much as I agree that we shouldnt be playing Shinnie and Nilsen together in midfield I dont think its the biggest issue.

We have played Clarkson and Palaversa together in midfield and been just as bad.

Its the same as the people who are wanting to drop Jensen for Devlin, I agree that Jensen has been poor but Devlin has been just as bad when hes played since the dreadful form started in November.

Unfortunately for Thelin his formation with 2 midfielders and inverted wingers doesnt work in Scotland so unless he changes his tactics we are never going to get any better.

I'm going against the grain here and take the positives from yesterday, but I'm not so deluded to think our league run is anything but horrendous.

That last minute shot that hits the post goes in and our season starts, but we can't leave it so late in games before creating out best chances. Especially against teams like Livi.

New left back looked solid. Karlsson and Armstrong will p*ss this league once they get some games. Nisbet and Lazetic will score goals if we stop playing the ball backwards.

We can't have Nilsen starting games. He is not a good fit for our game and him and Shinnie in the middle should never happen again, but for me Shinnie is the far better pick for us and well aware he can't play every game, but Nilsen is no replacement for him. A poor signing and worrying that Thelin can't see this.

I'm coming to the same opinion with Topi, although Topi is more frustrating than actually a poor player. A spell in the bench would likely do him good.

Our lack of real width is concerning. No Morris off the bench is a huge miss.

I watched the Hibs v Jute game yesterday and it was a cracking game, with both teams playing using the wings well and getting chances in the box.

Not so much f*cking about with the ball at the back, from either team , which hampers us badly.

I'm still pro Thelin and honestly don't think we are too far away from what he is trying to achieve, but you can feel the tension in the stands and the goodwill from the cup win is ebbing away and gone for many.

I do think we get that all important league win and all will come good, and I feel that is still our best hope rather than a parting of the ways and another new manager coming in along with yet another squad overhaul.

But Thelin has to wise the f*ck up and quickly.

In regards to Keskinen yesterday was his 50th game for us.So far he has scored 6 goals and got 4 assists.

Thats not good enough for a winger but especially not for one who we paid ?800k for.

I was really expecting a huge improvement from him this season but he seems to have gotten worse.

Maybe he just isnt suited to play in our league.Hopefully he proves me wrong.

Should fit him with a neck brace to keep his head up. He’s not a shirker but what’s the point if you just bundle into folk at end of all your work. There’s just nothing at the end of it. He’s a busier Darren Mackie.

Often hear folk say his decision making is awful but I don’t think he even consciously makes decisions, he’s just heid doon and charge. Sonic the bloody hedgehog. Needs a spell out.

That wont be helping him either but he really struggles with the physical side to our game.

He seemed to do well for Helsinki and looked promising for Finland in the u21 tournament during the summer.

I think a lot of our players struggle with the physical side to Scottish football, Im not an expert on Scandinavian football but I would imagine that they would get a lot more time and space than they do in Scotland.
