In either case Alfie it's nowhere near good enough to ban a player and penalise a club on a premise.

No doubt Hannibal will be asking for proof by friday BT. Could be a 12 match ban if found guilty!

It's just a load of bollox from nasty Leeds fans. How on earth can the FA ban a player on this premise?

In the UK, spitting in public is generally considered rude and anti-social. While there is no specific law prohibiting spitting in public places, it can be considered a criminal offence in certain circumstances. For example, spitting at someone or near someone can be classified as common assault, battery, or criminal damage. The context and intention behind the act of spitting play a crucial role in determining whether it constitutes a criminal offence. Additionally, local bylaws in certain areas, such as the London Borough of Enfield, have been implemented to address the issue of anti-social spitting, making it an offence to spit in the street without reasonable excuse.

BFC need to get a properly educated sports lawyer on this one. No case to answer - you are free to go sir!

Well the international break is upon us and there is naff all to do at the moment on the football front. England have already qualified so dead rubbers against Serbia and Albania will be fairly meaningless. Perhaps to stave off boredom we could hold a “Spot the Spit” competition.

It's the FA, BT, and unlike the Preston player who was dealt with by them, you can guarantee that the PL will be telling the FA what they must do in order to preserve the 'cleaner than clean' reputation of the PL.

Public hanging will no doubt follow.

It will be interesting to see what players and officials will do when players spit on the pitch in their vicinity. Will they claim that it was aimed at them? Who knows these days? Never mind ----life goes on.

More in hope than expectoration I can only trust there is a fair process and verdict.
