BTW just wanted to say I really want to be wrong about Tony Watt and I hope he turns out to be a great signing for us. I would hate for my negative opinion on the signing to turn out to be correct.

100% behind him if/when he signs

Nothing wrong with voicing reservations in a balanced structured way, if he has a bad few games folk will be quick to write him off as p1sh anyway! We should win more free kicks with him in our side, stood out in games against us this season going to ground easy and winning free kicks.

Bad news if true as he makes a huge difference

Striker is priority but we need to hold on to best players

We need someone to replace what Levitt brings to the team if he goes. Without Levitt and Fuchs, Harkes is back to his more familiar self.

We need more than Watt in this window also. He's another who isn't the quickest or biggest as a striker but he does a much better job at putting himself about than the current lot. I say we need at a minimum, 3 good attackers including a wide player in this window.

..we are in the same position as we have been for the past 7 years! No width...no speed...no creativity and no one willing to put their foot on the ball and make a simple pass. The concerns at the start of the season are begining to come home to roost. I hope that a couple of inspired signings will kick us back into shape. We are at a proverbial crossroads and our fate will be decided by our transfer activity in January. Watts will win us freekicks which will help but without ourmidfield being sorted..then we will struggle. Mcnullty and the new fella should just be cut free. Fuchs should be away as well as I think his agent has made it clear that he doesn't have a future here. Thank god we had a good start but we have been well found out now!

This thread needs an exorcism performed on it by a priest. Eileen Drewery needs to heal it and Uri Geller needs brought in to fill it with positive energy.

Failing that TC and the iPad brigade need to be brutally honest and tell Tony to do his job...may the transfers flow...

The last sentence in this article sums United up at the moment:

Do we really have a communications officer? If so, they must have the easiest job in football.
