As for McNulty, I want to see him play alongside this type of striker to see if it improves his goals...personally, I think this is exactly the type of player he needs to play beside to get the best out of him. I for one, have not written McNulty off yet! I hope that this could be the start of a great partnership for us!
100% that is the main thing. With big strong guys like that, give them it to feet so he can hold it up and bring in runners from wide and from midfield.

He doesn't need to score 20 goals for us this season, a central striker in a 4-3-3 system has other jobs. Not wanting to say anything back about Clark and McNulty, but they are best suited to a 4-2-3-1 system

ok we lost Shankland in the end but held onto Benji Ryan and Jeando but not only that, we added McMann and Levitt. Add into the mix that TC is getting the best we've seen so far out of Pawlett and Harkes and we're starting to look like a team all of a sudden. McMann in particular, from his first game for us I felt that was a brilliant addition, the type of player that St Johnstone built their success on and that told me we're on the right lines now.

The 90 minutes at Parkhead was the best football I've seen from us in years. Patient, resilient, brave, tenacious, good in and out off possession and at times very stylish. That performance and the one v Sevco don't come about by accident.

Yes, in the second half against RC we reverted a bit to pinball when they dragged us down to their level but now overall we can see a team that's being coached to be a bit more patient in possession a bit more greedy on and off the ball and the signs are good.

This signing might turn out to be a poor one or he might be the next Nadir but either way the club has responded to the problem up front.

Fair play to Tony and TC, credit where credit is due. So far so good.

My thoughts as well, good post

😎 you know me ADS, always happy....

I forgot to mention the Nik in my post too.

So far then TA and TC

identified the need to move away from Reynolds and Connolly and brought in Mulgrew to partner Edwards

Identified the need for a better ball playing midfielder and brought in Levitt

Identified and signed a top replacement for Jamie Robson

Addressed the lack of width problem by signing Nikassen - I told Offshore he wouldn't see it 🙈

Addressed the need to add a strong striker, ok maybe took time, but it's done.

So I'm definitely a happy clapper for now. As a few have said TC needs to keep warning them about playing too much hopeful long ball stuff. There's a difference between a punted clearance under pressure and a punted pass under no pressure. We need to keep playing it through midfield or wide with Nikasen and we'll be fine.

Your point about McNulty is exactly what I was thinking too so let's hope it works or he'll(McNulty)be signing for the groin strokers 5 a side team and prove Stoke right

Unless rumours are out of hand it appears to be more serious than a normal hamstring but we all know what the internet is like. And we all know how bad the club is at updating the fans about player injuries so he could well be dead for all we're getting told.

But it looks like we wont be seeing the Maxime McNulty partnership for a while yet.

Maxime McNulty sounds like a baddie off Eastenders so maybe just as well.
