Britain’s Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, said that he would immediately recognise a Palestinian state if elected to lead the country, while also acknowledging that his party has faced a tough summer grappling with the issue of anti-Semitism.
.....and declared Labour was “united in condemning the shooting of hundreds of unarmed demonstrators in Gaza by Israeli forces and the passing of Israel’s discriminatory nation-state law, etc etc.

More than 100 protesters were killed by Iranian special forces on Sunday after demonstrators took refuge near a marsh in the port city of Mahshahr, according to The New York Times.
According to The Times, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps members opened fire on unarmed protesters with machine guns on November 18, killing an estimated 100 people, mostly men, as they attempted to hide in a nearby marsh.
I am sure J C will have some condemnation of that event??

There you are BT some scenes from Jerusalem. ( but I really must go one day and take more photos !)

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, (notice the ladder) Some consider the so-called immovable ladder[c] under the window of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to be a visible symbol of the alleged inactivity the Status Quo imposes. Made of Lebanon cedar wood, the ladder was in place by 1728 and has remained there ever since the 1757 status quo was established, aside from being temporarily moved twice.

The church contains, according to traditions dating back to at least the fourth century, the two holiest sites in Christianity: the site where Jesus was crucified, at a place known as Calvary or Golgotha, and Jesus's empty tomb, where he is said to have been buried and resurrected.

You must not do anything BT if you let something that happened over 4 year ago influence your comings and goings. I was stationed in Uxbridge when the IRA bombed our barrack block, I was on the bandstand at Regent's Park two days before the IRA bombed that with the loss of 7 lives, two of whom I knew, and 24 others injured.
Life goes on --surely, as practicing Christians you can trust in JC.

BT: Yes, i condemn these nutcases.
Let me try and say something about this. In Israel today the right wing leads all polls, with the party ,the Likud in power. The support for the Likud comes mainly from the 'Mizrachi' Jews that came from North Africa ,Yemen ,Syria Iraq, North Africa and the Middle East. At the time when Ashkenazi Jews were coming here from Europe.
These Mizrachi Jews, were thrown out of their homes and all possesions taken, they re-settled in Israel, but they already hated the Arabs. Usually they have more children then
Ashkenazi Jews.It is mainly this 'block' that supports Natanyahu, and the religious Jews.
With this 'Bibi' can stay in power ,each term. The left wing, parties they can not match this number needed to govern. But the religious just say '' if you want us with you in government just give us the money'' ,and so can build their establishments as they do.
That is as yet the situation.
I am happy to say that the destructive religious youth has been sentence ''the panel of three judges accepted the State Attorney’s Office appeal and tacked on an extra 18 months to the 23-year-old’s four-year sentence, citing the fact that the assailant had targeted a holy site and that it was an ideologically motivated crime.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no law...(Galatians 5.22-24).

Sadly I see no evidence of this in Israel, Supersub6.

It still wouldn't stop me going if I really wanted to. The strange thing is that, the one time when I was supposed to go to a couple of Israeli ports on a cruise a number of years ago, the cruise company deemed that it was not safe because of happenings in and around Israel. Instead we called into Beirut and Antalya.
