£2mill for a player who has had 2 good 1/2 league 1 seasons so far and plenty of bad ones and injuries.

We did sell Ward for £1.6 Mill, and he only had 1/2 a good championship season and injuries.

We've always sold cheap. Think back to Goater, Le Fondre, etc, etc. They were million pound players all day long (even accounting for inflation).

I do think we're getting better though. We told Vassell he wasnt being sold to Salford in the summer (how refreshing to put club before player for once). And whilst Ajayi was under priced, I think the money for Vaulks was good value. We've also started to offer longer term contracts and that helps with transfer fees when selling players.

The last I read yesterday was that JCH could go to Charlton or PNE for £2m??
If that is true, it's madness!!!

Vaulks could go to Sunderland, Bristol City or Stoke and he was apparently rated at £3.5m - what "sell on" clause have we got?? Could be a nice little bonus for the club transfer kitty.

Also, just about every club in the championship, apart from Leeds & WBA, has apparently shown an interest in Barlasser

You can go back to the Pursehouses - Lyons, Houghton, Butler, Casper, Tiler, etc, were all sold cheaply too. Never seems to change

I'm convinced we only got a decent deal for Will V because Neil W was involved and made sure we got what's due.

Unfortunately the Semi deal perpetuates the notion that we,ll accept something less than a player is worth. Other clubs know this and will try it on the the future with the likes of Ben Wiles and Michael Ihiekwe

Blame the club for not renewing it way earlier, we could have demanded more!

I'm pro JCH but after Saturday? But our 3 forwards aren't the most valuable players in our side. Would say Olosunde Ihiewke Ogbene are. After that potentially Wiles & Lamy. Ihiewke & Ogbene sure are under contract with us till 2022. Olosunde think while 2021 not sure if we have option to extend his contract by another year. Not sure how long Wiles he's under contract for. Lamy end of this season his contract while. Motto it's don't let players get into the last year of their contract incl' option of an extra year if they are a valuable asset to the club then you don't have to sell them on the cheap. Agree about Vaulks, Warnock a friend of TS + he's been a player/manager here would see Rotherham United would get the full asking price.
