It's the manner in which he left. They've admitted themselves that he was tapped up (watch his welcome interview, he gets a call from his agent saying their chairman is coming to his house, not from Notts' board). For me, it's not that I want LW to fail, but Swansea, it's just unfortunate that it would probably put an end to LW managerial ambitions, certainly in the upper echelons
Great read was that, didnt know that he was a supporter od the Maggies charity.
I don't think any Notts fans are haters towards him, actually i think they are so down in the dumps at him leaving us.
Long shot but i hope he makes the England set-up, he certainly showed us football like we've not seen at Meadow Lane before.
I feel sorry for Luke, he seems to have walked into a situation that possibly wasn't as sold to him
He did everything the right way here and the players and staff would all confirm that
All approaches come via agents these days but as far as I know LW kept the club fully informed throughout so they could negotiate the best possible compensation with Swansea
People at the club knew well before it was announced that he would be going which at least gave us the chance to negotiate for replacements for the outgoing staff
He was most certainly tapped up and I'm sure that tapping up was paid for in his severance pay by Swamsea rather it go to the FA. Nudge nudge wink wink...
He knew what he was getting into prior to signing as he worked under the same owners before. Yesterdays game was a big chance to get a win against a team near them in the league at home and failed. Be interesting to see how long the American hedge fund will take before they pull the trigger again as it's all about results and share prices.
I can understand Notts fans being not bothered what he does at Swansea now he is no longer our manager, but I find it rather sad laughing at him because he's got off to a poor start there.
I really hope it works out for LW there but losing your first 3 league games is not a good sign. As bad as Notts have been this century, Paul Ince is the only Notts boss in that time to have lost his first three league fixtures and he was sacked later that same season. Fullarton, incredibly, won 2 of his first 3. Cotterill, Curle and Kevan (2nd spell) won all 3.
