I agree with the criticism aimed at McInnes to an extent but a lot of the time signings will be a gamble and Wilson (risky with his suspect attitude during previous loan spells) and Hoban (risky with his injury record) are gambles that didn't come off. A lot of fans on here have lost patience but I am not quite there yet. Big, big summer.
    Fully agree.
There’s no doubt that recent gambles have not paid off as we would have hoped.
I’m confident we’ll get a better window. Let’s face it, it can hardly get worse

Could this bit of news be paving the way for this to be our first signing in the summer window, surely not but never say never

As you say BlowUpSheep, never say never, but I’d highly doubt it.

I would by lying if I said I am excited about the upcoming transfer window. McInnes has made me hardly enthusiastic about it at all. His transfer windows or about as interesting as his boss. I wonder how many fans short we will be next season if we are 1500 short this one.

It was the first thing I thought when I read that article this morning. He ticks the boxes of a McInnes signing - only thing is that he was here training with us for a while and McInnes decided against signing him - it would seem strange that he would now go back and sign someone he didn't think was good enough previously.

I don't think McInnes will be interested in Watt.. He's heading for the Championship in Scotland or to the basement of the Premiership... Perhaps Dundee United, Dundee or Hamilton, that kinda of pish

I agree. McInnes wouldn’t be daft enough to sign him.

How confident are you with that statement pal
For me looking back he has been more than daft enough to sign a few belters during his tenure, Watt would just be another one to add to the ever growing list.
Never say never and all that pal

We’ll be up against it even further with the stadium in terms of recruitment and so would expect a rise in risky gamble signings. The manager is surely aware that drafting in this type of ego will make a pretty significant difference to grinding out results and not for the better.

We’re probably facing being even deeper into the barrel for recruits - but surely even then there’ll be better options than landing this type of ego. Would be devastated to see this waster anywhere near our club.
