I dont mind a defeat it's the way lose, played of the park, not creating any or few chances
I was looking for reasons why he should stay I'm not seen any convincing ones as yet.
Give him 10 games if you like, but his style wont change it hasn't in a season and a half..
Why waste 10 games, Dover summed his capabilities up in 90 minutes.
Pedro, the only reason anyone on here can come up with for not sacking him is we keep sacking managers and now is the time to stop. It's not because he is a good manager, not because he has a team of naff players and it's not his fault - he only signed them, and it's not because he's Mr. Nice Guy. No, He's a crap manager, he has a squad that's the envy of the rest of this league and he comes across as a smiley chap because that isn't a smile, it's a rictus grin of inbarrassment - that's when he doesn't looks like a small child sent to bed early.

I'd say quite a few teams in L2 would like our squad or budget

That's my point, irish, he hasn't got a team of naff players, they aren't naff. I think I stated it wrong.

The Post quotes NA as saying, after the Dover loss, "I just said they were three or four minutes away from me giving the players a team talk that said well done you've dug in and you've earned yourself a point on really tough afternoon."

    Says it all really...

Yep. Fair enough if he'd made that comment in League One away to somebody like Portsmouth or Ipswich when we'd be looking to consolidate, but how can you possibly take this attitude if you want to win automatic out of tier 5 playing against a club in crisis?

Come on mate it was a tough pitch to play on !

Sums the bloke up really ive come to the conclusion you just have to write the season off whilst he is here.

The worry is a null and void season as we will probably have him for another year.

I can’t speak for others but my reasoning in keeping Ardley for now is because this is his season alone to make or break his career. I don’t believe he was mainly responsible for our relegation, and I thought he actually did pretty well last year, all things considered....if only we had a chance to see how the season would have panned out without a lock down scenario.

This year he has his own players, a full pre season under his belt and the backing of some seemingly understanding owners. That these owners have given him time fills me with some confidence for the future whether with or without Ardley.

I understand why some people are so against him, it’s an emotional and passionate sport after all, but the common sense thing right now I feel is to give him this season....or long enough to realise that we aren’t going to go up this year, and then reassess.

We all now how sacking a manager after 4 games can pan out so I’m all for giving him at least enough rope to hang himself!

Kevin Nolan got just 5 league games that season before he was sacked.

    That's a fact.

We went on to have two more managers that season and were relegated from the football league for the first time in the club's long history.

    Also a fact.
