Will Patching scored from the spot to level Derry City's tie with Tobol in their conference league qualifier tonight, going to pens as it stands.

Watching it here dude, not a bad game at all in fairness, we don't usually have much to shout about with the Irish teams in Europe so anything is a bonus 😉

Would've been nice for Derry to get through, at least they did better than the likes of Larne and Linfield.

Although some people regard the conference league as a 3rd rate competition, I do like the fact it gives so called 'smaller teams' a shot at European football. Like who'd expect the likes of Struga of Macedonia would be 2 games away from the group stage of a competition🤷*♂️

How did Patching do? Worth a look again now the club isn't a basket case?

Ryan Graydon before he moved to Fleetwood would of been a good signing.

He played quite well actually, dispatched a very good penalty and was involved in most of Derrys good play in the first half, was hooked on the hour...looked like he was carrying an injury but could of been tactical... Derry lost 6-5 on pens at the end so was a cruel way to bow out, as for the conference league I love it..must be a nightmare for presenters as I couldn't pronounce most of the teams that are playing in it! Ha ha

Inih Effiong was taken ill at the end of Dagenham's game at Maidenhead earlier and has been taken to hospital, so hopefully a speedy recovery for him.

I've just read FourFourTwo's Top 100 young world players from 2001. See here
    https://www.sportbible.com/football/...kings-20221014

Among the obvious names like Kaka (95), Ibrahimovic (35) and Iniesta (20) there are actually two players on that list with Notts links.

At number 62 is Mark Fotheringham. Was he ever really thought of that highly at Celtic? Certainly wasn't by our fans.

Then right up there at no 5 it's Jermaine Pennant. Who obviously made us a lot of money, but I'm not sure he ever actually played for our first team.

Pennant played for our first team in a cup game against someone like sheff United I seem to remember. He was bloody quick and skilful.
