Can't help for name dropping here because I knew Lineker in his Leicester days and he was a really nice guy. Very grounded by his parents, especially his old man who was a market stall holder.
Polite lad, even a wee bit shy.
Then the money arrived, same with a lot of top players, started getting a wee bit cocky, traded his ****age girlfriend in for a prettier version. Then London, a lot of money and fame and that changes a lot of people for the worse.
I share his politics but other than that he's a bell end. Loved his air shot at the ET end by the way 🧡
Discussing Yamal's goal. "at 16, the youngest player ever to score a goal in a major tournament" Lineker then mentions Pele's goal in the world cup at 17.(why?) Then tops it off with.... "didn't score 3 in a final though" (meaning Pele) REALLY ??? Instead of celebrating the young guy's acheivement, he yet again managed to get off topic and back to 1966. Maybe that is why most non-English folk don't like him, and a few others too.

Funny ADS mentioning the cricket and its true i even root for the Aussies during the Ashes.I guess i just hate England full stop,no the working class people though just their establishment including the royals. There was something on social media the other day with a map of europe and they reckoned every country was supporting Spain so i'm not alone.
They are a very arrogant race and do think we are inferior to them, many of them also think we could not survive without their support and none of them will ever admit it was never over the line but still bleat to this day about the hand of god and Lampard's 'goal' which clearly was.
I woke up this morning to 66 on TV and the radio Stokie boy,2 weeks ago they were throwing beer at Gary now they want him knighted, that's the English for you in a nutshell. They have played 6 games in the Euro's and have looked good in 2 halves of football,FACT.It would be a travesty of justice if they won it.
Saw that map GB, 100% correct.
The English still think they're some important country, post Empire and all that but really nobody in Europe give a fk about them. They canny even build an aircraft carrier that doesn't leak.
I lived there for 30 odd years and saw it all first hand. Most of the English are fine, they admire our sense of national identity because it's something they don't have. But I did get the occasional casual racism. "Only kidding mate". Naw, you meant that.
The problem is the media like the Mail, Express etc that feed their nationalism and it's not a proud nationalism like ours it's a divisive hate all foreigners type of thing.
BBC sport will run a meaningless England cricket score before a Scotland football item. Their Premiership is owned by foreign money and dominated by foreign players.
I enjoy seeing them suffer whether it's tiddly winks upwards.
A bit concerned though because this England team are doing what Italy have done a couple of times, scrape through then finally get going at the semi final stage.
I think Spain will be missing a couple of very important players but I hope they find enough to beat the anti football diving chunts. C'mon Spain 🇪🇸
By the way, even that English bell end Jeremy Clarkson knows....
