How can it not be a millstone round our neck? I'm sure the sensible yes side would agree.
As much as I like to argue against the new stadium, the debt thing is a non starter.
It'll be a mortgage, with planned and agreed repayments.
It's not an overdraft that the bank can change it's mind on.
If they are anywhere truthful about the costs of maintaining Pittodrie then think of it as changing from renting a flat to owning one.
Not quite the same analogy but close enough for argument.
Is this a final decision tomorrow or is it a decision advising on what the decision is going to be in a future meeting that will be held to discuss points from all parties so that a decision can be made (barring a successful appeal relating to the original decision)?
If you get my drift.
I expect a yes vote but with a shed load of conditions attached.
In truth thanks to the kingsford no campaign boasting that they would appeal if the council votes for the stadium, it really gives the council a free shot. I actually think if it wasnt for their actions the council could well of declined the stadium and let AFC appeal to the scottish exec.
Cooncillor now raising the Dundee, Glasgow issue under the Equalities Act. Zoomer.
What really annoys me is the club stating that 75% of fans support Kingsford which is just bull sh*t. It involved a twitter poll ( I could be wrong with that) involving a small number of people. The club never did a proper survey of fans because they were terrified of what they would discover. Still hope it will not be built as it could finish the club if it goes t*ts up.
