What that showed that chunt Goodwin is This is Dundee United were scared of ST FN Mirren who could not even train for weeks never mind play a game.
In my very honest opinion they are not even on a par with the Funsters in stature and there is no way we would have let DFC aff the hook had they been in the same boat. as ST Mirren.
Posters on here can sneer but i would like just one of them to post that Jim McLean would have adopted these tactic's versus any team unable to play or train for a month.

If you think you support a big club then never ever accept being below them,FACT.

Next season and the season after and so on, once we're an established Premiership club with Premiership quality players, I'll join you. But right now, with the absolute sh*te that is sprinkled throughout our team and a squad of players who in the end struggled to get a single win over most of the teams in the Championship, I'll take survival without giving a f*ck who is above us. Size of club matters not a jot when you're running with players barely good enough for the league you're in.

FWIW one win in five for your Buddies now. One could be forgiven for thinking their purple patch is well & truly over.

Dunno where the myth about is struggling to win last season, we went on a run of 9 wins in a row of something to wrap up the league pretty much, then tailed off for various reasons early in the new year, never got the chance to finish on a high due to covid but Ive no doubt we would have picked up form again but think it was 17 wins by early January

The 9 wins were based upon clean sheets (and Paul watson playing) to be fair

I suppose that supports Micky approach that we need to sort out our defence if we are going to pick up points

In the vast majority we were on the front foot creating plenty chances including the two games Shankland was away with Scotland in early Nov/Dec time, against Queen's and Alloa, we played excellent stuff both those games and could have scored 4-5 in both easily, was great to watch

The clue was 'a squad of players who in the end struggled to get a single win over most of the teams in the Championship'. You being the stat man will surely know that' in the end' we failed to beat Morton, Arbroath, Alloa, Dunfermline, Ayr Utd & Partick Thistle in a run of 1 win in 7 games.

That is not myth, it is indeed FACT.

That 1 win was the most important though.

And the real fact is we cantered it to a lead that no one was pulling back as they were all beating each other and never got the chance to come out of our wee poor spell ( 1 win 2 defeats the rest draws), there were reasons for the dip in form, one of them was we were so far infront and a few injuries abs be played introduced why Stanton leaving plus the hibs Cup tie/replay distraction

I had no doubt we would finish on a high and regain form but covid prevented that, just like I had no doubt we would hit the ground running and win the league last year after the play off penalty defeat to St Mirren, I was right about that

We won the league either way and if was the most fun season as a United fan for 5 years, team, support and everyone was in it together

Indeed, think we beat ICT about 6 times in a row, gained a big mental edge on them
