I would like to see us give some of our youth players more of an opportunity.

There have been arguments in the past few years that these youngsters arent good enough but they should still be given a chance to see what they can offer.

Some of them cant be any worse than some of the signings we have made in the last few years.

Aye Lobban is 20 yet has had zero minutes. I believe he can play at 10, an area we were sorely lacking in at times.

Don’t know if it’s as much about modern football or us specifically but just feels like we are woeful at bringing our own through. Have to see stats, maybe fans of all clubs feel similarly?

I just know I used to really enjoy end of season games when the kids were invariably involved.

I can’t blame the parents of kids who move South, far too rare to get a sniff of first team action with us.

    Hopefully Lobban manages it.

    100% this.

As you say, you look at some of the players we have signed over the years, that have been worse than poor and yet our youngsters never get a minute.

Bringing through our own should always be our focus. I have no idea of the ability of Lobban, other than what I have read, but I doubt the lad would be any worse in our team than Topi Keskinin.
I don't particularly dislike Topi, but he is fecking frustrating to watch at times and would have benefited from a spell out of the team, in my opinion.

I feel a lot of this may well be down to our chairman and his pursuit of project players.

That said, we are particularly harsh on our own young players, with most written off whilst they are still at school.

That was really poor from Aberdeen FC. A club of their stature should not be fielding any ineligible players. If there is any doubt whatsoever just leave the player out.
I am maybe a bit hard on football clubs at times but someone would definitely be removed from their role at the club if that happened if I was the chairman.

    Get Gunner back.
Take it out of his wages.

    Brian Clough would have.

Aberdeen and Motherwell women have both played 8 games, both have 7 points and the Dons have a superior goal difference. So why are Motherwell shown as 6th and us 7th in the SWPL table?

If teams are level on points, the second criterion for sorting them is head-to-head record. Motherwell beat us 2-0 in September.
