Thread: 2018 Summer recruitment

  1. #3431
To be fair to Pacman, Hibs were very good last season.
Played some excellent football, gave a great account of themselves against the Glasgow clubs.
And weren't far off finishing second, pretty good going for their first season back in the top flight.
The look to have made some quality additions this summer, so i'd expect them to provide an even greater challenge this season.

    Seems like two decent signings
The defender has had a Devlin type injury, which is the only worry.

Cerny is a decent enough no.2 keeper - although he was p1sh at Partick last year, but we'd not get better as a no.2

I imagine the striker and winger we sign (assuming we do) will be loans later in window

I said when Cerny signed for Partick initially we should have signed him. Good keeper

Welcome aboard dude. Shame it wasn't earlier

Yeah that did cross my mind too. Shame that Fanny got injured in goals, that just leaves Archie Mair, I think. Big ask.

In terms of strikers, I still think he is holding out for Greg Stewart, and for Brum's financial situation to be sorted out, which could be end of August

Hibs will be very good going forward.
If they sign this Croatian striker who has a good pedigree & play him alongside Kamberi.
I also think they'll end up with Scott Allan or Ryan Christie as part of the McGinn deal.
I still think they're poor defensively though

Don't really rate Greg Stewart based on last year.

Surely if DM has that £400K wedge burning a hole in his hipper, the two remaining new players would be staffies, and not contractors?

Barrie Mckay and Greg Stewart, is my prediction. Lets face it, the latter is no more a winger that I am, I think DM sees him as a striker, or wider in a 4-3-3, which he seemed to be gearing us up for at the WBA game, according to those who were there

I thought Barrie McKay was away to Olympiacos?

That move didnt materialise, played something like 26 games last season for Forest and scored a few goals....
